Monty will be absolutely spewing at the missed opportunity.
Good bowling by Southee. He might pin the Ooze on the crease soon.

What a complete dud this series is turning out to be. We all thought after the England series, NZ would be super competitive but this is not to be. What next do we have we to look forward to....the Windies with their best players opting out for the filthy lucre of T20 Cricket. It will be just a procession. Sutherland was in Tas recently spruking the need for Tas fans to attend the Windies test but who is going to pay good money weeks prior to Christmas for a second rate Test. Sutherland has NFI & it will probably cost Tas any future tests.

That's a lazy 300 stand. Now only 25 away from best ever at the WACA.

Warner is taking his hand off the bat regularly. Hope he hasn't jarred that busted thumb again.

A personal 244* in a day is ferkin outstanding, even taking into account the Snoozers' anaemic bowling. Well done to the Slogger.

Joins a pretty elite club, only players who have scored more in a day are:skully wrote:A personal 244* in a day is ferkin outstanding, even taking into account the Snoozers' anaemic bowling. Well done to the Slogger.

Hmm? Because you spent most of the 5 Tests crying about the pitches.
Re: Australia v New Zealand, 2nd Test, Perth, 13-17 November, 2015
Stunning innings by Warner though... A big triple is on the cards. Pathetic bowling by NZ as well - 416 in 90 overs? Dire.
Re: Australia v New Zealand, 2nd Test, Perth, 13-17 November, 2015
One of our brethren asked an SMS question - has there been another day's Test play that featured a 100 and 300 stand (as Aus managed today)?
Not that I can find.

Phenomenal achievement by Warner. GCS no more?
More Living Hades for the Blackcaps.
So much for my pumping Henry's tyres. (Matt, not Trev, that is. I don't pump fellow-forummers' tyres during the week.)

This match is already over then - but can NZ please at least get Warner out. I'm concerned about him getting up to and beyond Lara's highest individual test innings score.
I cannot bear the thought of that record belonging to him.

Well the honeymoon is definitely over for Brendan MCullum and his band of merry Black Caps. Dire stuff from them, and I'd imagine the feel-good factor surrounding the team has worn off back in NZ. Already there are calls for McCullum to lose the captaincy.
