MrK, perhaps you've misunderstood. Majid made 108 at the MCG then in the next Test made a pair in Perth. I'm after the 6 players who did what Elgar did, consecutive 100 and pair at the consecutive matches at the one (or same) away venue.
Ah - my mistake although in my defence, the question itself is a bit vague:
"A pair and a century (or vice versa) in consecutive Tests at an AWAY venue"
Now come on!!!!! You know that's my speciality!!!

Re: Trivia 2016
as alluded to earlier, Ross Edwards missed out on a hundred at Leeds by 1 run in 1975 having made a pair there in 1972; or he'd be on this list as well.

Re: Trivia 2016
good question
consecutive Tests can't have been played at the same ground very often
or do you mean consecutive tests played at the same ground by the same player

Quickie: In the fairly recent WI's victory over Pakistan in Sharjah, Kraigg Brathwaite became the 1st opening bat to be not out in both innings of a Test. He also witnessed 15 consecutive dismissals at the other end.
Only one man has witnessed more consecutive dismissals at the other end in a Test. Who?
