Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
There is an article about Townsville voting in the Guardian somewhere. It prompted hilarious debate in the comments section with many Billy and Mexican jokes.

This is the buffoon who oversaw the abortion of the LNP election campaign. Word is many who lost their seat (particularly in Qld) want his (Mark Textor) and Tony Nutt's heads on a plate.

Surely Tony Nutt's nuts on a plate would be a little easier.

There's no certainty that the Libs will nominate or support Krudd's tilt at Ban Ki Moon's UN position. Imagine how apoplectic Krudd will be if he isn't endorsed. I would love to be a fly on the wall if so.

Would be petty crap from the Libs after Rudd was more than gracious in appointing the likes of Tim Fischer and Brendan Nelson to diplomatic positions post them leaving Parliament.

Erm...but just 5 years ago the Pinkos refused to support Smirk's bid to get the top job at the International Monetary Fund.
And most of the Pinkos hate Krudd anyway. They've been coming out of the woodwork to knife him from afar.

Looks like Turncoat has held off on the Krudd decision.

Kruddy gets the big no TF but was technically a poor decision. If Sheridan is going ballistic you know something's wrong. I hope no-one from this current cabinet is looking for a quango after they lose the next election.

FMD, going ballistic over an ex-Pinko qunt with ears not getting an endorsement for a job he was never gonna get. Some people have too little to worry about. I note Plebiscite is also having kittens. PMSL.

Oh, and KRudd was spotted as I passed through Sydney airport earlier today, and wasn't he apoplectic on a phone!
So ... I knew he'd failed to get support for his latest bid for megalomania before it was officially announced. I didn't snicker out loud; he might have knifed me or I may have drowned in bile after he exploded.

Indeed. And that the decision turned Krudd apoplectic is a bonus. Take that, ya little rat-farker.
Not that he want it, but Turncoat can now kiss goodbye to any hope of an ambassadorship after his PMship ends (along with ScoMo and Dutton). The Pinkos won't forgive or forget.

Rudd appointed a whole stack of Tories and Nationals to diplomatic and other government posts. I don't blame them from being pissed off.

Twould have been a legendary 'fly on the wall' moment. You'd have to wonder at the level of pain coming from his right wing if he doesn't to take the sensible decision of endorsing someone who was never going to get the job.

Pinkos get Herbert so Truffles has a one seat majority. With any luck some Quntry Party boys might cross the floor and make the changes to Super harder.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
correct decision from Truffles...the Mad Monk had promised Oz's support for Helen Clark's nomination by NZ. A reversal would have been extremely poor form.
I know for a fact that krudd and his better half have been wining and dining the UN circuit for months and he would have bought some support. Further he has support from some permanent mebers of the Security Council - poms, seppos and chinese.
Which all makes Truffles' decision a sage one internationally because Krudd would have been a complete and utter disaster as Secretary-General. At a time when the world is totally fragile and experiencing humanitarian disasters and on the brink of chaos, the last thing the UN needed was the QBilly human herd of bulls in a China shop.

If he is disqualified from Parliament (as seems a chance) his brother is second on the ticket and his wife third.
