Hello taipan,
I confess I am a cricket fan and do have another rarely used Flaming Bails ID. I did post a cricket-based comment accidentally under my administrator ID. I like to keep the two personas separate, thus I deleted the short cricket comment.
Regards

Ton to Yadav. Starting to look ominous for England.
Re: India v England, 4th Test, Mumbai, 8-12 December, 2016
Mini collapse at the end for India. England might have a sniff at a draw.

No second innings heroics for the new boy. Chocolates to boiled lollies in a big way.
Re: India v England, 4th Test, Mumbai, 8-12 December, 2016
I'm hoping for 3 or 4 down by end of day.

Your wish is Englands command.

Ton and golden duck on debut.
That can't be too common.

It's going to be an achievement to take it into Day 5

I believe it is unique.
As far as I can tell, only Bannie Gunny Viswanath (0 (more than one ball but number not recorded*) & 137) v Aus in Kanpur in Nov 1969 and Wackie Mohammad Wasim (0 (4 balls) & 109*) v NZ at Lahore in Nov 1996 made a duck and a ton on debut.
Happy to be corrected.
* Match report says he was given a torrid time by Connolly and McKenzie before being dismissed for a duck.

Joe Root carrying the torch for England. Their slender hopes of saving the match rely on him now.

He was dropped on 0 in the first innings so it could easily have been a pair on debut.

The gulf in class between our spinners and theirs is embarrassing.

And last time I looked at the score England seemed to be back in the match, sort of. They only trailed by 50 and needed 3 Indian wickets to bat again. Oh what a difference a day makes. The Bannie skipper & Jadav's 241 stand for 8th wicket must annoyed the hell out of the Poms.

Aye, so he should be grateful he has a unique Test record. A pair on debut is not unique.

Don't worry Bas, it could have been worse, they could have taken Gareth Batty on tour- oh wait.

And then to compound the error by replacing Ansari with Luke Dawson. You could not make it up.

Bairstow gone now, but an appeal.
This is the biggest fault of England's spinners/bowlers in general on this tour. Not enough quick wickets.

Root and Bairstow - minus the one off by Jennings - have been the two most consistent batsmen for England.

Just when you needed him to dig in and keep the score ticking.
