WOah, 2 wickets for Gabriel in an over. 30/5. Brilliant stuff.

The shock of batting slightly aggressively relieving pressure... Getting a bit of luck too, 77/7

Also probably a good time to bring Bishop on.

Or not, Gabriel gets Aamer the ball after I write that. 78/8

Welly well well. Mr bucket got it spot on with his plea to have Gabriel & Holder bowl well on a deteriorating wicket. Sounds like plenty of grubbers.
Bishoo didn't even get a bowl.
Well done to the Ganjas on squaring it up.

Yay the West Indies ... great for world cricket. Gabriel and Holder have deserved a result like this for some time.

Aye, very pleased for skipper Jason Holder, who epitomises the spirit the WIs once had.

I have been watching the edited replay of the play from Day 5 and the Windies bowlers really bowled well, concentrating on patches on the wicket outside the off stump at each end that were crumbly. There were quite a few guzunder balls.
And it was great to see the obvious delight in the small (no doubt long suffering) crowd as the wickets fell.

If Joseph, Holder and Gabriel can keep fit, they have a fast bowling attack to build on. Just that batting is the big issue. Still, looks far better with Chase there, and Darren Bravo when that dispute is resolved.
As for Pakistan, doesn't look great post Misbah/Younis. And where are their fast bowlers? Seem to have plenty of decent medium pace bowlers, but nobody really quick (I sound like PP, but they could use one right now).

It has taken Gabriel a while to reach this standard, but in the last two series he has looked a decent fast bowler. Genuinely fast & capable of troubling any batsman in the world.
Young Joseph is a work in progress. When he gets his rhythm right he looks good but at the moment he is a bit inconsistent. His pace drops off noticeably when it's not all clicking. I'll be looking forward to watching him in two or three years as he matures as a bowler.
