Re: Australia v England, 1st Test, Brisbane, 23-27 November, 2017
"Mrs Robinson" - I get it. Sort of obscure and quite good. Maybe MrsR for short.

Cricket Aus site says 10.00am local (or 11.00am in the real world).

First time ever I am not gripped by the prospect. As I said in another post I hope excitement and expectation can be found by Day 1. Only two of our top 6 have claims on form and only Uber K has gabba form. I have nothing but sadness for the state our national team has reached and utter contempt for the matey NSP and Charnel Nein selectors. III
It is a disgrace that Brittle and the weak Bog have been selected. At 34 the Bog averages around his age and his record of failure when it counts is well documented at national and state level. The bloke is an alcoholic entitled tosser who is as incapable in the field as he is with the bat. To be honest I'd prefer Reeks FFS if it came down to it. He is only there because of WA, the boys club and the discredited bnlg. The reality is Donkey or Little Boof should be at 6, Mrs R at 7 and Wrench should be opening.
While Oz continues to select gcspoc and have Seasick Steve as akela we are stuffed.
The poms will canter in.
Farkin Bog will be considered a high potential player for the next five years.
If that idiot bnlg is appointed coach ahead of Dizzy, who actually has a decent record, I will give up watching let. Alone supporting Oz cricket.

Combine balding with the above description, and that's basically a self portrait of mine.

Not sure about 'Mrs Robinson', but Horrie you're giving a fair impression of Will Robinson's mate 'Mr Smith' from Lost In Space or (perhaps even more appropriately) Fraser from Dad's Army.
Get a grip man!! It's going to be great! It might not be as great as 2006-07 or 2013-2014, but surely it can't and won't be as bad as 2010-11?
If it all goes to shit late on Thursday I'll be lying supine and seriously intoxicated in the bottom of a box somewhere at the Gabba. I'm hoping to catch up with Wally and Mick Sawyer at some stage, but that's more likely on day 2 than 1, and very dependent as above on whether shit is Australia's destination, and despite the fact that I haven't heard anything from Mick in yonks and that hope for a catch-up may be quite forlorn.
Incidentally auto-corect wants me to change horrie to horrid ...

Stereo sentiment.
Well of course I hope my bleak expectation is proven wrong and we have a great series.

Sheaves of cheap Pom wuckets will cheer you up. I think you're just shamming, to keep the expectations low ...
