Yeah. Had them in trouble at 150/6. THen let them off, been far better today... 306/9
Murtagh easily the best of the bowlers. Tyrone Kane's been a bad selection in hindsight.

Follow on avoided at least, so they retain slim hopes of a draw.
Edit: Apparently not! Guess they fell foul of the rarely invoked law of the game in that the first day washout makes it officially a 4-day match. I wonder if they realised...

I'm glad they haven't entirely folded for a second time, is my first thought.
Might have hoped for a bit more from Porterfield and Stirling in particular, though. Experienced batsmen of reasonable skill & purpose.

Can Pakistan contrive to lose from here?

Judging by the way the last few balls didn’t bounce, a 200 run chase could be extremely challenging if the Irish bowlers get their lines right.beamer wrote:Can Pakistan contrive to lose from here?

Yes. The fighting Irish. Even when Ireland loses (which historically it invariably does) the loss is ever in the face of overwhelming odds.

I don't trust Pakistan at all. I only wise I'd waited for the 41 instead of the19 on Saturday.

am considering cancelling my dementing mum's Foxy subscription. They have interminable IPL but will not invest in Test cricket
So if Mrs H is the dement-er, then you must be the dement-ee. As has long been suspected....

Oh well Fred. Interminable life is what it is. At my age, let alone my mums, the loss of acuity is grim. Have fun.
