I find it odd some League clubs are happy to recruit proven nobs. The Storm seem to use a no dickheads policy, similar to the Swans in footy.

The Storm have that policy and it works when the players have the incentive of the brown paper bag slipped under the door of the gents (with apologies to Sir Humphrey Appleby).

de Belin's case sounds serious. The Drags may have to find another good prop sooner rather than later.

Re: Rugby League 2019
Sharks coach Shane Flannigan has been deregistered for illegal contact with the club during his banning in 2014, + Sharks fined $800,000.
Also Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe deregistered for a dodgy deal to secretly pay Robbie Farah big money + Tigers fined $750,000 and having $640,000 taken out of their salary cap for next year.
MrK, get money on the Sharks and Tigers for the Spoon in 2019.

Re: Rugby League 2019
Flanagan should be banned for life. He clearly has no respect for the rules of the NRL.
Would be even better if their 2016 Premiership was stripped from them.

The Pascoe ban looks harsh on the fact of it - there must be more to it.

So Ben Barba's NRL comeback is over before it began after he bashed his partner at a Townsville casino. Oh dear.

Well he could probably fark back off to France. He must be getting close to the record for most chances in a career.

He pleaded not guilty today and had his bail conditions eased to allow him to train. I imagine he may get some choice sledges if the case isn't sorted by season beginning.

Re: Rugby League 2019
If you were offered the job of CEO of the NRL you'd have to seriously evaluate everything you've done in your life and ask,
"WTF did I offend or WTF did I do that was so horrible".
Personally I'd have it in my contract that in exchange for 24/7 during the year I have December and January off.

The victim's story today was pretty horrific. If a jury believes her he's going to the slammer.

Re: Rugby League 2019
Not sure how much interest there is for this game, but -
a good win for the chooks against my lot.
I keep reading that the current state of Union in Australia is mainly down to the strength (and money) of Aus Rules. Is League also attracting some of the best prospective RU talent, or is it beginning to suffer the way the 15-man game is?
