More disharmony on the Right, Two Months out from a Federal election.
That will help with the Coalition’s “ women” problem.

Always funny when Barney enters the fray. Seems the old town bull has a small core of support from a handful of Qld steers.
The Nats are in strife with some 3 cornered contests as well as credible Independent candidates. Unhappily they also face electoral threats from No Notion.

ScuMo has not helped with an ill judged international women's day speech. Probably got plaudits from Christensen and Abbott but few others.
Abbott is just thick. People in Warringah are laughing at his turn around on the Paris targets.

Great knock from the Brown Shirts. They've just lost their 50th Newspoll and ScuMo has raised his bat to acknowledge the top end of town in the pavilion.

The Chook continues to play Abbott on a break. She's called out some Uber right group for lying about her position on tax imputation. The Uber Right crew are posting lies through Facebook.
Seems Trumpanista tactics are afoot.

Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XV)
The capacity of the Browns to self destruct really knows no end. Every time Barney and the Mad Monk open their mouths, disaster follows.
I bet both the Libs and Nate wish they had removed preselection from the two turkeys. Still laughing how the MM has swapped sides on Paris. His rationale of the change of PM from Truffles for the change of his position beggars belief.
Without the MM undermining him in the 2016 election, Truffles would have won easily.
The latest polls reinforced how important Shortpants is to the Brownie cause. The antipathy a wide range of the populace feel towards Shortpants is deep and clear.
I think for conservative voters, Shortpants is more than just any old Radish leader they would not like on principle. It is certainly not his policy platform, which is firmly right centrist. I think it is because he comes across as genuine as $3 dollar Bill.
I think the blokes lack of character affects the views of swinging voters.
For those on the left, Shortpants is a dangerous prospect, beyond that of most ALP types. When it comes to doing anything and saying anything to get power, he is up there with Gillard. Character wise he seems as vile as Rudd, though not as bilious as Latham. As a very conservative AWU operative he is very close to the Seppos. Many AWU types attend the Harvard course connected to the CIA. Being a protege of Bill Ludwig is testimony. I worry he will be the most right wing ALP leader since the disastrous Kim Beasley. He will be very pro Indonesia and no doubt would support its crackdown in West Papua. East Timor can expect no support beyond platitudes from a Shortpants government.
If there is escalation in the South China Sea, $3Bill will have an itchy trigger finger. Our relations with China can be expected to deteriorate.
Trump and the oil cartels are itching for regime change in Venezuela. If the Seppos go in there they will look to Oz for support. Like Menzies, who pleaded with the Seppos for an invite to enter Vietnam, Shortpants will be desperate to send troops. He will have Downer at the ready to have some sort of conflict resolution role with Woodside at the ready to sink its snout into oil well troughs.
Shortpants is a Farken danger. ScuMo might be a thick as a brick happy clapper but he is less dangerous than this poc. ScuMo will of course do as he's told by the Seppos, but he won't egg them on.
I have never voted Greens or Browns. A Shortpants led government is nigh on unsupportable. Any reasonable Independent will get my vote

The Chook is a slightly right of centre person who has credible, albeit conservative views on climate change, gays etc. She's running a great campaign. The MM really is a clueless twerp.
As Skully suggests it is prolly no contest and he will be returned with a narrow majority. Still it is great to see the farquit struggling and dissembling.

Lol. Five of the Browns banjos yapping about the need for more coal fired power stations in Chipland are among the seats projected to be most affected by climate change according to ACF modelling. Barney seems to be going totally off his rocker. He's leading the charge. Is talking about himself as the elected Deputy PM. Abbott was a spoiler on Top End Turnbull's 2016 campaign. Barney is already tossing grenades. Guess he is counting on a Brown Shirt election loss that will see him restored to as head ram for the Nats.

Minister Potato Head goes green? Dutton has had a stoush with uber right shock jock Ray Hadley over his refusal to support subsidies for building new coal fired power stations.
I presume polling in Potato Head's seat shows concern about both climate change and coal.

He made the very good point that if you subsidise one power station then you open yourself up to all existing power stations holding you to ransom.

And you can guarantee qunts like AGL would do exactly that. Power companies are right up there with the banks for unscrupulous and morally questionable behaviour. Move Heaven and Earth for the shareholders but fark customers up the arse on a regular basis.

Very Keynesian this proposed use of govt money. Very unfarright. Govt money should only be used to socialise losses.
Still if the subsidies for renewables had been used on R&D we might actually have a viable renewable network. Go nuke.

Aye. I guess so. In more cheering news, in just three days 1.1M Australians have signed a petition calling for Fraser the Eraser to be removed from Parliament. Not that this can be done. Still it is pretty significant that a large slice of the populace has signed up.
Still I wonder how many people sign up to Annings views. It is people like Dutton, Bolt, Abbott and the Murdochian media who enable the Fraser Annings of this world.
ScuMo has gone up in my estimation. He promptly named far right wing nuttery. I expect he has asked pointed questions on why Tarrant was not on the Spooks radar. Unhappily Oz has more than its share of fascists. The spooks have not paid them sufficient attention. In the past they have worked with some, eg the Ustasha. Will be interesting to see how this all pans out.

Hehehe! Henderson got the expulsion bit wrong yesterday. Must have been having a flashback to his days running Santamaria's version of getup.

Must say the bloody National Civic Council was a tightly run crew. Santa was a genius. I met him a couple of times, inc at the footy where he preferred to hang out in the outer. Surprisingly he barracked for Carlton not Collingwood.
