How rude of me. First of all, good to see you back after a noted absence; secondly, why were you watching this meaningless garbage instead of Le Tour?
Keeping an eye on the tour, but have found post lockdown cycling a bit uninspiring so far.

Bejeezus a series of who can choke it the most, I guess the England won on that account.
How Aus escaped from that from 5/ not many I'll never know.
No Show decided to be Big Show, and Mariah made the most of his early let off.

England v Australia is never meaningless, even if it’s at tiddlywinks or dancing on horses...lardbucket wrote:tricycle wrote:Morgan been very poor this match. He had wood and curran... particularly now that these are not completely meaningless odis

Well said, beams.
However the lard man has a pathological hatred of JAMODIs and JAMITTs (other than World Cups).

Re: Current International One Day Cricket
Worth noting the gcs-poc averaged 12 in the ODIs, just a little worse than Root's 13.3.
Apparently* and according to the bastion of truth that is CA, Root failed to score an international ton this English summer. This was the first time he has failed to do so since his debut.
Is this a blip or a sign he is nearing the end?
As for Warner, surely CA cannot find any more excuses to select him in any touring party.

Re: Current International One Day Cricket
The other good news for Oz Cricket (but bad for CA) was the continued steady form and captaincy of the Fink in both series.
Like Paine, the Fink is prolly the least talented player in our white ball teams. Unlike Paine he is on borrowed time and there is a sense that his next series' failure will be his last.
Unhappily the drums are beating for Mitch 'very talented' Marsh as heir apparent. Katich's mate Gerard Whately keeps hitting the bass drum.
For Oz cricket's sake I hope the Fink continues to knock a few runs out for a while longer.

He’s not even 30 yet, albeit with a lot of miles on the clock. But as with so many of his predecessors, the Test captaincy seems to have significantly impacted his batting. Maybe giving up white ball cricket would be to his advantage.horace wrote:Worth noting the gcs-poc averaged 12 in the ODIs, just a little worse than Root's 13.3.

Contrary to popular opinion, it was not a pulled heartstring but an ankle injury.

Marsh shouldn't have batted. He could barely walk. Crazy that they sent him out for a league match.

That's more balls on the stumps in 4 deliveries than Bung managed in his whole career.

Bung always bowled too short to hit the stumps.

So there was a JAMODI Pak v Zim overnight apparently*.
The scorebox widget to the right lists it as the 3rd ODI. Really? Was there 2 others?

Apparently* there was also a hat trick of sorts with the last two balls of the innings and the first ball of the super over.
