So I reckon it's down to Storm, R00ters, Eels and Choccies in 2020.skully wrote:Cracking effort by the Raiders to upset the R00ters last night.
You make me so proud.
Fair call.
And how bad are the Nags going at the moment. Makes the whole Seiboldt v Bennett thing even more embarrassing for Brisbane.
One wonders what Benny may have achieved with the same squad.

Re: Rugby League 2020
I have a theory about Seibold.
He's not as good as he thinks he is (he thought he was shit hot and apparently* knifed Madge at Souths to get the top job), and the Broncos players were secretly pissed off at the way Bennett was forced out of Red Hill (particularly long term sycophants like Darius Boyd).
Add these two things together and you have the current disaster at the Nags.

Up and down effort by the Drags v Dogs.
Jumped to an early 10-0 lead, then let in 20 unanswered points to be down 20-10 at HT. Dominated the 2nd half and got out of gaol late with a Corey Norman try off a Dogs error to win 28-22.
Up to 10th unless the Filth beat top of the table Eels tonight.

They are an embarrassment to the jersey. I reckon Siebold will be gone by Monday.

Apparently* he’s been told he needs to win 5 of the last 10 to keep his job. They have a horror draw - he could be out in 6 weeks.

If you include dead man walking Seibold, Mary is at best only the 5th coaches sacked this year. Bizarre.

After the Tigers started like a house on fire under Benji's direction, the Slimeys manned up and ended up 26-16 winners to go back to the top of the ladder (for now).

Storm snot the Nags 46-8 at Suncorp.
They were in for the 1st 20 mins but then got blown away by a Cameron Smith masterclass.
His canny organisation and stellar passing game exposed the many chinks in the leaky Broncos defence. He even chucked in a 40-20 kick from dummy half.
Can't see Seibold surviving.

Re: Rugby League 2020
Iin the meantime segearu or htf you spell it apparently got doped up by his mates blender. Say what you want about drug testing but they never let you down in the choking on your coffee stakes. Said mate used to blend the shit into his morning smoothie. And where is said blender. Threw it out because it got rusty. Has any cutting wudgetty thing been made without stainless steel cutters since I don't know, Don Draper was selling them. I've had acheap shit blender for ten years that's used for cocktails and kids milkshakes. Treat it like crap, but NO RUST. To rust stainless stell you'd have to use said blender ad a farking anchor for your offshore fishing boat, or hit it with industrial strength cleaners which would also kill you next time you used them.
Drug testing, sports gift if you're feeling down and need a laugh.

Do you mean James Segeyaro?
Meanwhile The Bunker strikes again.
The Drags lost to the Sharks 28-24 last night but were apparently* ripped off by the dopey officials in said Bunker. In the chase for a grubbered though ball into the Drags' ingoal Matt Dufty grounded the ball but the Bunker officials awarded the try to Sharks Jack Williams. Here's the still...
“The bunker decision to award a try to Jack Williams in tonight’s Sharks-Dragons game was incorrect,” NRL’s head of football Graham Annesley said in a statement.
“Steve Clark and Ben Galea were due to officiate again tomorrow in the Titans-Panthers game as bunker officials.
“They have now been relegated, and will be replaced by Jared Maxwell and Brian Norrie.”
----------------------------------------
6 point turnaround - Drags dudded a crucial 2 points.

Apparently the bunker is under orders to speed things up, thus didn't wait for the ultra slow mos from other angles. Why? I don't know. If we're gonna use twchnologymay as well use it properly.
And yes to the "s" guy.

Re: Rugby League 2020
I reckon the Drags will be very filthy if they miss the 8 on countback.
Anyway, solid win to an undermanned Panthers outfit on the Gold Coast, and the Doggies finally got their 2nd win of the season by holding on against a fumbling Knights in Newy.

Drags had their chances to win that match and weren't good enough (although came close). Even if the ref makes the right call there it is a drop out and the Dragons would have had to defend their 3rd set of 6 in a row. What was worse reffing for us in that match was the numbers Set Restarts that the Sharks got in the first half. They killed us.

I maintain my view that only 4 teams have the class and cattle to win the competition.
They are Storm, Roosters, Panthers and Eels.

Roosters only. The Storm don't have a "finals gear"; Panther's are too inexperienced and Eels lack a bit of quality.

Talk of Widdop wanting to come back to Aus.
Apparently* the Drags want to do a swap with Warrington - Widdop for the woeful Corey Norman.

Of course, the catch will be Warrington saying "nah, Norman is shit". And no-one would argue.
