Tas ao 188. Most odd seeing Sids playing against the Vix.

Honours even after the first day. Vix 3/70 with Sneaky Pete 52*. The wicket seems good for bowling and batting and the teams are well matched.
After the woeful Spiv pitches and competition, nice to see two First Class teams hard at it.

Harris was out to an absolute howler. Worth a look if people have the time.

Ball appears to have hit his elbow rather than the bat. Unlucky.

Thought Bird bowled really well and Sids was not far behind. Boland and OP bowled also bowled well.
Should remain overcast this morning at least. Pitch should offer bowlers and batsmen are fair shake. Doran, Jewell and the Sneak all batted very well yesterday.

Cam Green might just be the hope of Aus cricket. Lord knows we need some middle order class. Some knock v Banjos.
Meanwhile the Spivs struggle for wickets on the Autobahn.

Yep. Watched snippets of Green's knock - a class above. Hope you are right Skully.
Spiv quicks - Conway aside - have not been good. For reasons that escape me, Copeland was dropped and not Abbott.
Tas had a very good day and are in front of the Vics.

Green finally out for 252. Poor effort from the Chips.
Ditto the Spivs have been woeful v the Jellies. (Lyon aside)
Tozzies lost 3 that session but are getting toset a good target.

MCG pitch aside, the other 2 pitches seem quite flat.

It would appear that Tasmania will fall short of setting a challenging 4th innings target, again. There's not enough support for Bird when it comes to 4th innings bowling efforts. I'm hoping that Jarrod Freeman will continue to develop his spin bowling ... he's only 20, so there's plenty of time.

Nah Vics have a very long tail, second only to the Poms whose tail seemingly commences with their openers.
Tas could declare now.
Highlight of the day was the dumb and then bad tempered effort from gcspoc.

Only 245 for the Vile Vixen to win - should be a doddle.

I wonder which commentator on a South Australian Shield match will be first to stuff up when describing a Carey - Hunt partnership.

Vic need 160 with 9 wickets remaining. Rain break/early lunch.
Harris may have been gunned in the 1st Innings, but is not out after being dropped in successive overs.

Re: Australian Domestic Season 2020-21
Meanwhile, Patterson's century is probably enough to have NSW scribes screaming for his re-selection at Test level.
Before this innings, he had barely scraped together 200 FC runs in a year, at an average below 20. It's good to see him back in touch, but in my view this innings saved his NSW spot - rather than formed an audition for Test re-selection. He's still only 27, so it'd be good to see some regular scores from him. Renshaw ditto.
