Yeah, can't remember the name. Lot of help I am...
I think your talking about City of God? if so yeah i agree superb film.
looked it up - yep sounds like it

No country for old men
The assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford
Eastern Promises
I'm not there (if you're into Dylan)
I have only seen the first of those four but the rest have been highly recommended by friends.
All very good. Haven't seen the fourth. 3:10 to Yuma was fine till the last 20 minutes; without giving the plot away a key part of the movie near the end was too Hollywood, even ridiculous IMO.

Saw "In The Valley of Elah" this evening.
Great acting from Tommy Lee Jones and the gorgeous Charlize Theron,
But don't expect anything pacy, upbeat or a twist in the tail.
It's slow, ponderous at times, but hellish gripping.... 2hours ... so be patient!
And subtlely anti-Iraq ...

Saw IV was pretty good, as long as you've seen Saw I, II and III. 1408 was OK, as well. I have a teenage daughter that loves horror movies!!!!

I really want to watch Eagle vs Shark, solely because it's got Jemaine from Flight of the Conchords in it.

What should I be looking out for?
Charlie Wilson's War was not bad, and American Gangster. Avoid Aliens vs Predator Requiem.

Sounds like Zodiac last year.
No Country for Old Men - is that the one in which the hairstyle effected psychotic play! Another Tommy Lee Jones movie, great actor.

Reservation Road is pretty good. Especially for Joaquin Phoenix. If anyone liked Hotel Rwanda, then this one is right up their alley.

I don't think you can really "like" a film like Hotel Rwanda.

Wouldn't mind seeing Frost/Nixon. Looks a good political thriller.
There is a new movie starring Tom Cruise (cringe) about assasinating Hitler. Could be good, but will probably be cRap.
Oliver Stone's movie, W, about George Bush hasn't been getting good reviews. But Stone's reputation might make me go and watch it.

Watched Office Space the night before last. Pretty terrific the movie and I just can't believe I missed it earlier. Ron Livingston rocked. Jennifer Anniston was just about Passe though..........
Could identify with every scene in the movie mainly the funny sarcasm about human beings having to sit in a cubicle all day long in front of computer monitors!

I personally saw MUCH of myself in the main character, since I, much like him, find myself wondering about the worth of my cubey-employment every other high-tech-flying day. I sense this capacity to identify with the main characters in this film, as a strong correlation point to my appreciation of the humor within. And it is within that environment that the authenticity and parody of the actual office rapport, the insincere stooge bosses, the phony empowerment signs all over the walls, and the daily frustrations that people face with the technological office "advancements", were all dead-on perfect!

I saw Wild Orchid starring Mickey Rourke and Jacqueline Bisset a lot many years back. In after thought now, while it comes acoss as another soft skin flick that was the rage in the 70s-80s, nevertheless I thought it was well shot and well presented.

Australia - shit but brilliant. Hugh Jackman pretty.
I want to see Synecdoche, New York, but it doesn't come out here until May. MAY! Still, at least it has a distributor, which looked unlikely at one point.
Agree that Frost/Nixon looks good. Martin Sheen is usually excellent.
