We are still capable of losing this, by an innings.

Smith is apt to drop catches.

So with a day to go, India all out for 571 & lead by 91.
Can Aus avoid another ridiculous collapse?? They will need at least one session to erase the deficit, and at least another to get a match saving lead.
Aus really needs to bat well beyond Tea tomoz to get a Draw.

Hang on, there's still 8 overs that Aus has to face.

Let's just assume Aus needs to bat all day tomoz to save the match.

So Aus survives the overs. Kuhnemann stood in as Nightwatchman for a hobbling Ooze (dodgy knee).
Aus 0-3, 88 runs behind.

Marathons from Lyon and Murphy kudos to them. The latter is a solid prospect for a 22yo.

Lyon will rarely bowl better for such scant reward.

Well earlier fears that Australia will lose by an innings have come to naught....

Wonder how many other Australian cricketers, let alone spin bowlers without great reputation as a batsman, have opened both the batting and the bowling within their first four Tests....

So, with the SL situation out of the equation, can the two sides Cronje up a run-chase in the final session?

Not sure about Matt the shot-put man though - although he is still young enough to improve (and make his bowling arm look less like a hockey stick) in coming seasons.

Smudge rightly lamenting the 2nd innings Delhi debacle.
After the completed 1st innings Aus and Ind were separated by a single run. In I2 Aus was cruising at 1-65, looking to set India 250+ on a spinning deck. We then contrived to collapse for a useless 113.
India lost 4 wkts in the small chase so a 250+ target would've been a significant challenge.
In another universe Aus won this Test and the series.
