The dumb selectors will probably drop Reeks and play Starc or MJ as "all-rounder"

Reeks doing well in Chennai may well have been aberrant. Think Clarke might play despite the back niggle. Watson is an interesting one because if he plays it means he didn't really miss a test and he flew home for the birth of his son. Mitch deserves a go.

Dhoni talked about maybe "trying some things" in Delhi. That probably means bringing in a young quick (Shami Ahmed?) to replace Ishant.
If Dhawan isn't fit then I guess Rahane finally gets his chance?

They could replace Sharma with a shopping trolly and it wouldn't worsen the team in the slightest.

Seeing his fingers today at MoM award, he won't be batting in 4th test surely. India in grave dilemma as he won't be tested fully before SA tests later on. A new headache now for a stop gap 1 test opener too.

Viru to get a farewell test at his home ground?
And will this just quietly be Tendulkar's last test? Honestly, it should be. Would be much better to go out having swept Australia than BEING swept by a rampant South Africa.

Oh no. My worst fears come true. Dhawan definitely won't play the home test next!
Dhawan will miss fourth Test in Delhi - LINK!
India opener Shikhar Dhawan, who hit a century on his debut Test at Mohali, will miss the fourth and final Test against Australia in Delhi because of injury.
"He may not play the next match," India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said, after India won the third Test by six wickets on Monday to take a 3-0 lead in the four-match series.
However, some team members later confirmed that the Delhi batsman will not play as he will not recover in time for the Delhi match, beginning March 22.
Dhawan hurt the fingers on his left hand while fielding in Australia's second innings. He was unable to open the batting in India's second innings and Cheteshwar Pujara opened with Murali Vijay.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India will make an official announcement later, Dhoni added

I would like to see Viru in middle order next test actually if possible so we have middle order options in SA.

A 4-0 sweep against Aus will actually make up for missing the boat after WC 2011, yes. But I doubt SRT will learn this lesson and retire with dignity yet. Farking sad.
Now Delhi will be an interesting test. A 3-day finish [if the test is not abandoned that is] to give Aussies to leave home early and get some rest?

F*cking farewell Viru of Delhi, f*ck right off and don't come back unless you're FTBing on all cylinders.
How's that for a farewell?
Linky - Umesh Yadav on Sehwag.
.Tell us something about Virender Sehwag, your captain at Delhi Daredevils in the IPL.
Last year during a home game, Rajasthan Royals needed two runs off the final delivery. Ajinkya Rahane was facing me. He had already hit me for a six two balls earlier. Before running in for the final delivery, I asked Viru paaji what I should bowl. His answer was: "Mujhe kya pata kya dalna hai? Bowler tu hai. Tu daal jo tujhe daalna hai" ["How should I know what you should bowl? You are the bowler. Bowl what you want to"]. His witty response eased the pressure I was under in that tight moment. Rajasthan lost the match by a run

Without Clarke, who is the better batting line up in these conditions - Aus or Bangladesh? One of those profound questions that have no easy answers....

Capt Watson has just held his first press conference in charge.
After some deliberation, he screwed up his face, held his knee and back and said he had changed his mind - the team needed fresh blood, and needed to concentrate on fit, sparkling in-form players. He issued the following hand-written team sheet:
THIS MAI HOM WOK:
1 Mister Markus Noth (WO)
2 my mite Huesy (SO i thik)
3 Steevy Smit yay (NSW)
4 Me (NSW) * (if fitt)
5 Kliger (SO)
6 Hodg Podg (Vix)
7 Lewdman (SO) +
8 Abott (NSW)
9 Stoyniss (Vix)
10 Boysey Woysy (Q)
11 Beer (WO)
Mai Replasmints: Cown (Taz), Muckdonalld (Q), Kempp (Q), Scully (NSW)
It is believed the NSP tried four times to veto Capt Watson's team, and half a dozen times actually sacked Capt Watson, but each time relented, putting the national interest first. "This is no time to rock the boat" (Sutherland)
