Incidentally, what’s with the early starts in this match? It’s not as if daylight is an issue in mid-June…
I hope we can scratch up a 400+ lead, beams.
2-78 in the 1st session was OK-ish, although Green's technique v spin needs to improve. With his reach, he should be sweeping, not padding up.

Correct. Three very late nights so far
Good man. Flying the flag.

Would've set my target at 4 sessions + half hour before Tea. Might've squeezed out another 20 runs. No point giving the Bannies even a sniff.
Good knocks by Mariah and Koo.

Yeah we've lost this one - by tea, tops. 'Grats Australia.
Norfolk Ian? Didn't someone say that was Merlin? Or maybe not.

Hi Furri, hope all is well.
As for the game, I have a sense Kohli has one last great knock left and it could be close.

could ask Brendon Julian to come out of retirement, and he would probably keep it tighter than Starc.

Was dreadful. Neser replaces him for T1.
The other out is GCS

Not a bad option, h.
Your hope re: the Grub is forlorn. His 43 will be enough to see him play at least 3 Ashes Tests. And Harris as a replacement opener leaves me cold.

Boland shows the value of discipline. He knows he is not the most talented bowler but has worked at it. Koo while not nearly as profligate reminds me of Bung.
Neser is another version of Boland.
No doubt the 43 will be talked up and *wit will play. I cannot see us winning a Test with him in it .

Can very easily see India getting the runs needed. They were scoring at a decent pace yesterday and both batsmen look set.

Possibly but a few early wickets will make it difficult as they don't have the likes of Ashwin in their tail. Better match than I expected. Yesterday our bowlers had a slight Bazball preview.

All well horrie, hope you’re doing well too.
That’s more a case of hope against experience IMO. We shall probably fold in the first hour or so. Couple wickets is all it will take.
I’ve been off cricket for a while - I suspect it’s the IPL overkill. I didn’t see a single game, but it’s sort of having the effect (on me) of moving away from the game (temporary I’m sure until we get a series as opposed to a one off like this one where it’s hard to gather interest even if it’s a final). I guess there’s also a sense that the evolving game is leaving me by, can’t GAF for the shorter versions, but that is where the action and public interest appear to be. Apathy is a good word that sums me right now.

Yeah, forgot why I originally did it, but now have locked myself out of my original account and can’t get a response from admin, which is why I’m using it at the moment…skully wrote:furriner wrote:Yeah we've lost this one - by tea, tops. 'Grats Australia.

Hell of an over from ScoBo.
Set up E-Coli with 2 near off stump then sent the 3rd a little wider to draw an edge for Smudge to make a great snaffle, then removed Jadeja 2 balls later, and had Bharat edging just over 1st slip on the final ball.

And finally Lyon and Trash Panda pick up wickets.
Neither has looked like a first class bowler. Yet they will get the figures. Second, Green and Boland have been our best.
