He got past his three score and ten, without sacrificing his pleasures, and lived life to the full. Even old forum adversaries (VoR) will most likely miss him.

I find this immensely sad. Even though I don't know anyone on this forum in person, I still feel some intangible connection to them and we are our own little community with shared passions and divergent views but this place is still meaningful to us. Since I've been here I have seen at least five whose posting I enjoyed shuffle from this mortal coil and each leaves us bereft of their insightful, humourous and unique input.

RIP Horace whose defiant belligerence was amusing in his inimitable fashion. Ironically his Swans are right in the mix to salute and he would have relished the bragging rights of his 'Bloods' winning the flag.
