That's a matter of opinion.
Maybe he should check out the real world's take on how cricket pissed its pants during in this fiasco.
So Singh didn't taunt Symonds with a racial dig ? Yeah sure !
His head may not be up his arse ... but it's sure as hell buried in the sand.

Yep, I've heard that too from a reliable source.Batfink Begins wrote:Clarke then approaches umpire Mark Benson, saying: "It's not the first time. He done it in India and got into strife. That's the second time he's done it."
He did it in India, visited the Aussie change rooms after the game and apologised.
Hence the indignation from the Aussies when he did it again.
Not that it matters as we have all put it behind us.

A bit like when Doug Hawkins got fined for abusing an umpire (over a really shit decision that cost Fitzroy a match) and the club supporters chipped in to pay his fine ....they raised about 10 times the fine and Doug said he was thinking about abusing the umpires every week if there was that much profit in it ....

My first guess would have been Tony Blair ... but that wouldn't work on two counts.
a. Tone isn't Indian (well, at least not yet... but wait until he has a Mumbai bank a/c), and
b. he was never a politician, rather a very good con man who lacked principles.

Hansen: Sachin's word counted
1/30/2008 12:42:39 PM
Reading out the Harbhajan Singh racism case ICC Appeals Commissioner John Hansen has said today (January 30) that Sachin Tendulkar was the closest witness to the scene between Bhajji and Andrew Symonds during the 116th over in the second Test at Sydney Oval, and his word had been taken into account while deciding to remove the charge of racism on Harbhajan.
According to Hansen Sachin has testified that both the players had in fact sworn at each other and Harbhajan Singh's use of a Hindi slang term had been misinterpreted as the similar sounding 'monkey' by the Aussies.
The commissioner reading the verdict in Adelaide said Sachin was the closest witness to the incident and hence his evidence mattered. The judgement adds that Symonds was the one who provoked Harbhajan and initiated the row.
Hansen also stated that the verdict had not been given under any 'external pressure' but was based on the facts of the case. He said BCCI counsel for Harbhajan Singh had told him threats of an Indian pullout of the series was mere media speculation.
Australian media have reported today that the Aussies are unhappy about the verdict and have even alleged that the BCCI used its television money power to tilt the verdict in their favour by threatening to pull of the series.
"The case was bound to fail"
Commenting on Hansen's statement, Australian journalist Peter Roebuck who had been particularly strong in his indictment of the Indian cricket board earlier, said: "It is a very clear judgement in which the judge established the facts, and ground rules in terms of the legality of the matter. He stated the case in layman's terms and also in good legal language. The case was never going to stand close to scrutiny and it did not."
Roebuck added that the Aussies had admitted at the hearing that some of the language used had been in Hindi - 2 out of three had not heard anything except the alleged phrase. "I think after that point, and with Sachin speaking as well - the case was bound to fail," said Roebuck.
Regarding Hansen taking Sachin's testimony into account, Roebuck said "What the judge said is that he had benefit of watching video unavailable to Procter that showed that Sachin was in closer range and also that Sachin was more prepared to say what happened around the two - he also heard quite a bit else."
Defending his earlier statement, the Australian journalist said he believed in the rule of law, and had thus criticised the Indians when he felt they seemed to be trying to circumvent the situation.
Roebuck held that both the "provocation and the reaction" were wrong, and if cricket was to "go forward" both sides should address this issue. "We need to get past all of this. We need to say enough of all that nonsense, lets' play cricket," concluded Roebuck.
"Procter should resign"
TIMES NOW cricket expert Boria Mazumdar meanwhile has raised a question about the credibilty and competence of the ICC Match Referee Mike Procter, who earlier while handing down the guilty verdict to Harbhajan had refused to take into account the Indian side of things - maintaining that the master blaster was not in a position to know what had happened on that fateful day.
"The first thing that comes to mind is, what was Procter doing? He too had had Sachin's word. Will he now take moral responsibility for causing disrespect to perhaps the greatest living cricker of all time, while taking the Aussie word into consideration? That Harbhajan had used a Hindi abuse has been doing the rounds of the Indian media for some time but now it's good that it has come out officially," said Mazumdar.
The question now is whether the ICC will now pull up Procter, he said adding that in his opinion the BCCI should do everything in its power to ensure that Procter put in his papers. "Was Procter equipped in the first place to conduct a hearing - he has no idea about the legalities. If he arbritrates in any match from now on, will players respect him? Will he be taken seriously?" asked Mazumdar.
Boria said the ICC needed to be creditted for appointing a good judge in the form of John Hansen, but that there was a distinct possibility the Aussies would again "cry from the rooftops suggesting perhaps that even Hansen has been bought over by Indians."
"They have gone mad. Now it is our turn to wait and watch what this on-field victory and off-field loss will do to Australian cricket."

Didn't Proctor presume that Sachin couldn't have heard what Bhajji said?
