Will Saffies do what the Aussies couldn't ??
1. Expose the aged / unfit Indian big names once for all
2. Show up the bit and pieces players that Irfan Pathan is and specifically expose his bowling mercilessly in the test arena
3. Put back on deck the doubts on Dhoni's test credentials
4. Expose Yuvraj - Oh the Aussies already did that
5. Other......
Not sure how the third test will go, but I reckon the Saffies are doing Indian cricket a great favor something the weak selectors and parochial fans would never have done on their own. And this will only strengthen Indian test cricket and put it on the path to progress, same way their teams have made giant leaps in the shorter version.

It's funny how you only turn up when India lose/do badly, i bet you will be no where to be seen if Ind win the next test.
You remind me of one of the old pak fans in the C4 forum think his name was 'Hey Jude', always turned up when we lost the only time he ever turned up.

As for your your original post:
1. SA bowled extremely well and Ind had a bad day with the bat.
2. Agree with you on Pathan.
3. He hasn't done much wrong imo.
4. Agree, don't think Yuvi is test material, can always prove us wrong, he's got the talent.

Here Roebuck has a bit to say about the Indians and their ability to combat swing. Takes a swipe at modern batsmen and Mugabe.

Selective reading selective hearing. Are you sure you are not another parochial Indian fan masquerading as a Pak poster ?Makaveli wrote:It's funny how you only turn up when India lose/do badly, i bet you will be no where to be seen if Ind win the next test.

Josh if you were the Indian selector what test side would you put out (baring in mind Khan and Sharma are not fit).

I don't think he was absent during the Aus series actually. I remember him congratulating the team.

incredibly he doesnt have a single post in any of the match threads on india's tour to aus
https://flamingbails.forumotion.com/search.forum?search_author=Josh+Carney
and he seems to be more obsessed with tendulkar than any other poster on this board

Re: Will Saffies do what the Aussies couldn't ??
Indeed why let facts get in the way of some fantasy theories.
Perhaps a simple explanation such that I might have been away and not had time for forumming during the tests. Incredibly no reference to the posts on the ODI matches including the finals where Tendulkar's efforts were heartily lauded. Threads are still there if anybody cares. It is remarkably funny that "one" or "two" or "three" or "four" take the siege mentality, look for conspiracies and get judgemental instead of facing up to realities.

Re: Will Saffies do what the Aussies couldn't ??
If India don't win at Kanpur, then Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly, Jaffer, and even Kumble will be struggling to continue their international careers, imo.
India's fast bowling has been pretty awful in this series, with the exception of Sreesanth, who has tried hard and looked threatening. RP Singh is woefully out of rhythm and confidence, and Pathan is dead ordinary when the ball isn't swinging. Add the fact that Kumble is showing signs of slowing down, and it's no surprise that India are 0-1 down.

Rohit needs to score more heavily in first class cricket before being given a test cap, imo.
And I forgot about Zaheer. He should be in there ahead of Sreesanth.
