Thanks lg. What's the quality like? Smooth and watchable, or jerky and headache inducing?leg glancer wrote:http://www.sopcast.org/

Yeah, probably give it a miss then. It's peer to peer.

Yeah, assumed as much. Anyway, with SG on the case, and Dickinfo at the ready, I can visualise much of what's going on!!JKLever wrote:Yeah, probably give it a miss then. It's peer to peer.

definitely. id add chawla to the list aswell. if theyd stuck around long enough for gangers ton, we'd be about 40 ahead.

So did the wicket do much today, boys? Obviously Gangles played very well, but it didn't sound like the minefield many were expecting.

Showing signs of deterioration. Some very uneven bounce. The one that did for Dravid reared horribly from a length and was unplayable. Some bounce was fading as well. And it's only day 2! It will deteriorate greatly from here.skully wrote:So did the wicket do much today, boys? Obviously Gangles played very well, but it didn't sound like the minefield many were expecting.
That is why Toni's brainstorm and Chawla's idiocy were really poor bits of play.

Yep. Chawla doesn't seem to do justice to his batting talent. Afterall he has hit 10 50s in his short FC career.id add chawla to the list aswell.

chawla's technique looks quite good. think he has the potential to average about 25 in tests

So many harsh things are said (and mostly fairly) about Sourav Ganguly, its easy to forget two things that should be pretty central to our memories of his career (once he goes):
1) He's a class act with the bat;
2) He's a tough LB who often produces his best when its needed most.
Well played. I hope we remember his batting as well as his behaviour 5-10 years hence.
For India to win without Tendulkar and Kumble would be a great boost to the confidence of their younger players. I hope they can pull it off.

"his behaviour"??? He's always been a prancing cunut, FFS. But, aye, he can look special with the bat when on song.

any news on dravid, heard he got a pretty big bang on his fingers. hope he's fine to bat again
seems like a few silly shots have spoilt what could have been a vey good day for india. i would give the saffies a slight advantage at this stage
ganguly loves sticking it up people's noses doesnt he? what a legend. this would be one his finest innings, could have been even better if not for some thick cave-men

Wasn't arguing the point re his character, Skull.
I was vaguely thinking of Yallop and Jones in Australia - two very fine batsmen for us who played some superb knocks, but you almost never hear a good word spoken about either of them these days, which I reckon is a bit unfair.

OK Leo, but I'm no Gangles fan. Preening nancy boy, capable of the odd glorious knock, AFAIC. So, yeah, a lot like Yallop and Jones in that regard.Leo wrote:Wasn't arguing the point re his character, Skull.

Well yeah, but versus Aus, he's been largely sh!te. And v the odd other nation he's pulled out the occasional lead-footed masterpiece. Clearly his hand-eye coordination is good on flat decks, but so was Fat Cat's. He will go down in history as an ODI FTB.
