I know India needed to win and I've no problem with them preparing a result pitch, but there are limits. Cracks bigger than that found at the top of Jodie Marshs' thighs on the second day of a test match is just taking the p**s.

Yeah, GT . . . but the Saffies do the same . . . preparing deliberately green pithces for their bowlers and to negate Warne et al, as do the Snoozers. It seems only the poms and aussies prepare fair pitches . . .

Saffers aren't much good at wiping out tails expeditiously.

That last partnership will probably win it for India. Great work.

That'd be the same Hawkeye that showed the Tendulkar shoulder LBW decision hitting halfway up middle stump.
Hawkeye is rubbish.

Saffies on the choke? Couldn't shift the last wicket stand and then lose 2 quick one's before lunch. Could be all over today.

If we can find another 100 runs from somewhere we have a fighting chance.

Indeed. That's why that last partnership for India was so valuable. I'm not watching the game but from the desctiptions of how the pitch is playing I wonder if it isn't worth a Boucher throwing the bat around a bit to try to knock up a quick 30 or 40 runs.

Re: India v South Africa, 3rd test, Kanpur, 11-15 April
92-5
Uneven bounce and turn galore, Prince is looking woeful at the wicket, but he's still there somehow. Sehwag looks like getting a wicket every alternate delivery. When Kumble retires, I see no reason why Sehwag can't become become our second front line spinner.
This game still not over though! a 150+ lead wins the game for me and a 120+ lead will be a cliff hanger.

AB was charging down the crease to negotiate the spin and uneveness. It was an interesting ploy, he fell cheaply but he seemed to have the right idea in getting forward.

As long as you play every game on a wicket like this one, I don't see why that wouldn't work.
