It’s about 10 days til the next test, yeah? Fleas has bruised ribs, so he should be right.

FFS Captain Idiiot - Clarke gets a wicket and then gets taken off for Midge.

Lara Lara Laughs wrote:Is tac bumming Clarke because he scored some runs on an insanely flat track when Katich had already scored a ton? Oh dear.
It'd be like English fans bumming Bell for his nice looking ton vs NZ despite the fact that someone else had already scored a ton and the pitch was flat as.
Here are the perceptive and elegantly-expressed views of LLL on Michael Clarke, as prepared earlier:.

'Simon Jones took a 5-for the other day. Rumour has it that if you listened really carefully, you could hear the excrement oozing into Michael Clarke's pants on the other side of the world.'"
Still impressed by haters? Cop that.....

I don't hate Clarke. I think he's a decent batsman. I just think tac takes the man love for him a bit far.

Yeah, LLL's got a point on that. Although every bowler bar Gilo had him in their pockets. Just so happened that every time he got runs, he had been dropped or given a life by the umps.
Re: WI v Australia, 2nd Test, North Sound, 30th May-3rd June
What doesn't Tacky take too far? Especially after he's been wound up?
For about two hours straight after you posted it I had that quote of yours as a sig.

We've just spent the last two hours bitching about the umpires (mega-yawn) and the bad fielding of both sides. Everybody benefitted - everybody copped it. Clarke was the gormless kid batting at 5 or 6 who was left to clean up the mess made by the Martyns and Haydens and Katiches and co. If he was bad, most of those others were absolutely bloody awful.

"Hayden > Martyn > Clarke = Katich..."
Which order? Hayden was dreadful before the Oval and there's a view around (which I don't rate) that he wasn't much more help there, Martyn did SFA after Lords, and Katich likewise although he did put in a reasonable pair of 40s in one Test (Old Traf or Trent Bridge, can't remember which). Clarke at least matched all three.
Back in Oz the selectors got it about right when they swung the axe: Martyn first (standard-issue how-dare-they bleating from VoR etc aside), Katich two matches later, Clarke one match after that.
