WI into the tail.
Series not going all that well for the Huss.

Katich opening the batting and doing it rather well. What's going on?

Yes, hopefully they will realise they can't have 2 left handed crab merchants, and Katich can take Hussey's place in the squad again...
Re: WI v Australia, 2nd Test, North Sound, 30th May-3rd June
I hate Antiguan test match pitches.
Soul destroying for one of the most promising pace attacks around at the moment.

Great. Except for the fact I have no internet, and no Sky subscription, so there's a big cricket shaped hole in my life at the moment. At least the summer is here, so at least I can get the odd game in here and there.

Well, perhaps I exaggerate! Only managed to get 3 games in so far. Have scored a grand total of 11 runs, , and only about 4 of them haven't come of the edge...

Or maybe i'm turning into the anti-Mark Richardson, and reinventing myself as a tail-ender midway through my career.

First time he's failed in two consecutive innings. His place must be in doubt now.
He scored a combined total of 30 in his first two test dismissals. Since then, until the 11 he has made in his last two knocks, his worse effort for two outs was 38.

Re: WI v Australia, 2nd Test, North Sound, 30th May-3rd June
Hearty congratulations to Fleas. What a great story of perseverance. Damn lucky to maintain a CA contract last season while deemed a thirty something cast-off, he sucked it up, put his head down and broke the individual aggregate Shield record while skippering the mighty Spivs to victory in the Aus domestic comp. Rewarded with a spot on the squad to the Windies and called in the replace the hobbling MtFTB.
After a dodgy return Test, he has cashed in and made his 3rd Test ton. Great stuff.
And congrats to Punter for being the 3rd Aussie and 7th Test player to cross the 10,000 run barrier.
Pitch looks like a road. A draw perhaps?

Bit of uneven bounce already. Clark might go OK.

I think it was a good toss to win, the pitch is expected to break up a bit after day three.

Thanks JGK. I'm out of town with a very crappy internet connection (dial-up) and no Foxtel. The Chief is taping the first two days play for me.JGK wrote:A draw perhaps?

Pretty untroubled. His sort of pitch, not a lot of bounce.

Taking the WC into consideration, Hussey hasn't had a love affair with West Indian pitches to date.
