They're currently making the fifth series. I prefer quality over quantity in any case.

And and the 1st 4 are about 6/8 episodes each. Look it's not bad but the storyline is a bit limited.
Will he get together with the schoolteacher or not. Take that out and there's not much left.

I'm a bit of an anglophile though. I love the locale and there are several characters whose lives become part of the show. It's less slick than House and somewhat more innocent but definitely more realistic and perhaps less formulaic. I also find English diction much easier on the ear than American, even though the House character is perversely and Englishman and Chase is clearly an Aussie.
DM also has eccentric things like crazy dogs stalking the main character.

Yep very realistic, like a Doctor being terrified of blood. I like it but wouldn't call it realistic.

On average it is more realistic. Doc actually overcomes his blood phobia. It's not totally unrealistic that someone can develop a phobia based on a particular experience. And he works creatively around this.

Re: House
I still think he was more convincing in Blackadder, or as Bertie Wooster.

When the show first got big, I had the odd problem convincing people that it's the same bloke that starred in the various Blackadder series.

Evidently when he sent his audition tape to the producers they thought he was American.

Re: House
Do you mean Adrienne Palicki? Don't think it's her - although she's wearing a similar dress in this shot.
It could be but I don't see the trademark mole between her eyes in Red's avatar, and I don't think her bazongas are that big. Could be wrong.

All things are possible with Photoshop.
Virtually possible.
Really less manageable, without risk of scarring. Outside or in.

Re: House
S07E22 - After Hours - Friggin' intense.
- Spoiler:
- Haven't done a review recently but House has been trialling a drug on himself that showed some promising signs on mice to regrow wasted muscle tissue. He was regaining strength in his dodgy leg (via stolen drug samples) but at the end of the last epi, the researcher found that his trial mice had died.
Epi starts with a chick druggy showing up on 13's doorstep stabbed and bleeding to death. Turns out she was in jail with 13 and helped the babe-olicious one get through her time, so 13 feels she owes a debt. It transpires that the stabbed one was an ex-cop who shot a 19-year old kid during a crime and blamed herself for his death and turned to drugs, ending up in prison (where she befriended 13). 13 calls in Chase to help at her apartment (because she promised her friend she wouldn't take her to hospital) and they eventually save her life, but they turn her in. Chunks of Chase analysing 13's motives, connecting it back to the promise 13 made her Huntington's-addled brother to put him out of his misery.
The real deal is House finding out that the muscle-restoring trial on the mice was a failure, with all the mice dying from tumours from the drug (that House has been using successfully on himself). House CTs himself and finds 3 tumours on his gammy leg. He scrubs down his apartment bathroom and flops in the bath and operates on himself (grouse scene!!). He removes one tumour before losing control after he hacks himself (as you would if you tried to perform surgery on yourself). He tries calling all his team members before finally getting help from Cuddy. His ex gets him to hospital and ensures he get the help he needs. House wakes up to a lecture from Wilson - which he acknowledges as correct.
The C-story is that Taub has conceived a child with the cute red-headed admin girl from the hospital. He wrestles with all sorts of moral dilemmas, including facing death at the hands of a very-defensive stripper with a gun, before realising that fatherhood may not be the crisis that he initially thought.
Very stirring episode.

Re: House
I love you 20th-century-waiting-for-the-networks-to-broadcast-a-TV-program types.
Bob* has promised to have the season final of House for me tomorrow, probably before it's screened on the US west coast.
Sadly Lisa Edelstein is leaving, so no more Cuddy, and there's a suggestion on the rumour mill that Robert Sean Leonard may well depart shortly as well. It's quite possible that the next season (Season will be the last one for House.

Um Bob* is busy downloading the new Doctor Who for me. Unfortunately will only get it next month when he returns to the fortress.
