One can only imagine the media hysteria in China after Zheng's upset win over the world number one. A couple of hundred Chinese journalists are probably flying to London as I type.

She is better looking but that doesn't make her a bitch. She indulged in some gamesmanship during the Aussie open (and pleaded innocence) and is too obsessed with image. Her accent's ugly but we can't hold that against her.

Sith Eff tennis players (male)? There's a few, not many who are/were all that much chop.

There was Wayne Ferreira, who looked just like Peter Taylor and stopped McEnroe's last hurrah in 1992, he was Top 10 at one stage, there were various Van Rensbergs who all had really silly first names, now you've got Wesley Moody, Rick de Voest ('de Voest player in de Voeld'), the Blacks (or are they from Mugabeland?), among others too numerous to mention/too mediocre to recall....Roger F's mother is Saffie so you can always claim half of him at a pinch.

Jebus, you get one knock back from a Saffie at a Melbourne wine bar, and you want to launch a nuclear strike on Capetown.

Ah yes - Johan Kreik.

When the likes of Creak, Brian Teacher and Christine O'Neill won Oz Opens, Tennis Oz realised it was in deep doggy-doo.

It's Ana!

And I don't see how she is a choker. She played rubbish and was knocked out.

And she just won the French Open......

Blimey, twelve pages for a tennis thread. I wonder how many croquet, show jumping, paint drying watching and synchronised swimming would get?

Imo tennis hasn't been the same since Buster Mottram retired. All this equal pay for women guff hasn't helped it's cause either. I mean, how the hell can two sets of 6-0 6-0 baseline grunting between two teenage girls lasting 40 minutes be worth the same as two blokes contesting a five set grueller spanning four hours or more? The world's gone mad.
