It feels bigger than that as we are being ass raped by the top team.
But we have a couple of games in hand. Not all is lost.

Except any sort of pride for allowing Bell to get more than 40 against you!

No true. Say, for instance, if we go back in time and make Thelma trib Louise instead of driving off the cliff, there's sure to be at least one or two different cricketers than we have now. They could've impacted certain matches that others didn't. Next thing you know, Chennai are winning the LVCC Div 2 title.

Do you really think Bell is that bad?
A 26yro averaging 42 isn't the worst in the world. And the fact that he gets a lot of starts and then throws them away surely shows you that he has plenty of talent rather than being a terrible player.

Word.
Bangla-bashed.
Windie-bashed.
Poor-Pak-bashed.
Didn't get a run in NZ until the conditions were so f*cking favourable that it was unbelievable.
Nary a run under pressure.
F*cking dross-weasel.

Undoubtedly he has bags of talent, there is no question there. Problem is he is lacking in mental strength/balls/grit in the same amount.
Has done nothing of any use for England when it has mattered, and his stats are skewed horribly!
That is my problem. Along with the fact that had it been anyone else he would and should have been dropped along time ago! Its the hypocrisy around him I cannot stand, along with his lack of gumption when its not easy as you like conditions.
Or you could put it like Danny did!

PUT IT LIKE THIS:
HE'S A LUCKY LITTLE SHIT. PEOPLE FOR YEARS WENT ON ABOUT HIS TENDER AGE... DIDN'T GIVE A FLYING F*CK ABOUT HIS STATS. WERE HAPPY TO LEAVE THEM AS THEY WERE, A RAW AVERAGE. NO ANALYSIS. NOTHING. THEN, ALL OF A SUDDEN, AFTER YEARS OF NOTING THIS ON HERE, THEY'RE ALL INVOLVED.

In other news Kent won with van Jaarsveld making 229 runs (2 centuries without getting out) and also took 5-33.
Takes Kent from the bottom of the table to 4th.

What is it about Ten Doeschate? Seems to make runs and take wickets every outing.

Not sure it is Chas. We've had to suffer this spineless wimp for ages. Had he actually grown a pair, who knows? We may have lost/drawn a lot less.

In the grand scheme of things your right. That the infuriating thing for me. Its the just give him one more series mindset that fark me right off. How many 'one more series' does he need to show he hasn't got any?
But in a forum sense, its nice every now and again!!

TBH, not much killed me more than his ton versus NZ - it looked f*cking amazing. Shame he was pounding pop-gun shit, part-time dross and nothing spinners on a totally dead track. Would've been the end of him for a while. Instead, he's been kept in, done f*ck all and can hark back that "4 Tests ago, he got a ton". F*cking gash.
But yes, Lara's arbitrary 60's and 70's, vehemently saying he's the pressure daddy and then him turning out not to be was good stuff - as was Mr. John "I just can't see anybody better" Lever.

Nah, not at all. I'd have liked to have known how you could tell who was going to step up, however.
Meanwhile, Northants're back in. Trying to save the game. Shite weather. Perfect for a collapse.

Theres the infuriation in one paragraph there! Couple that innings which was serene, with the fact that he will never do it when the pressure is on = total infuriation and hatred really, that he keeps getting in and yet provides nothing really!
I can take those that jack off because he's pretty, its the theres no one better comments that winds me up. How do you know, no one gets a chance. Shah proved he could cut the mustard when in India, and in the OD side!

Re: English county season 2008 (IV)
Aye, bar KP, he's looked the bizzle more than most have on his debut - given the attack and situation. I wonder sometimes whether the lack of three figures from the position he got himself into favoured against him. Then I remembered that Bell gets f*ck all 3 figure scores and more importantly that Vaughan hates Shah with all his positive heart. That's why he's not in.
