Kent win by 83 runs.
Anyhow the big one is tomorrow at Chelmers, supposed to be dodgy weather.
Think Geoffrey Trueman has gone down to follow the Yorkies, hope he doesn't have to make it back for the Sunday...

More of the same from Napier after they held him back to see off the spinners this time. 193 will take some getting for "South Africa A", though Duckworth-Lewis could come into play here.
Would be great to see a JAMODI or JAMITT at Chelmsford, lots of sixes and a bit in it for the spinners, makes for fantastic limited-overs cricket.

Lever's Eagles are stuffing Danny's Sticklebacks like Desperate Dan stuffing a poussin.
Nants needing 175 off 18 (D/L) ... are 3/3 off 2, no runs off the bat.
And a fourth skittle goes down .... Hella farce.

Bowling attack of Van Der Wath, Klusener, Boje, Hall and Louw - they're taking the piss, right?
Especially with another Saffer/Aussie hybrid, an Aussie and Irishman in the team too.
Napier is starting to come off regularly, people will start to take notice. Will be nice to see if he can do it somewhere other than Chelmsford though.

Napier - rubbish today. Only three maxxers, and 40 off 20 balls.
Phurt.

Yeah!!!!
Great couple of weeks for the Essex boys.
This season we've either been magnificent or really ordinary. Fully expect us to croke it come the big finals....

Re: English county season 2008 (IV)
Why the hell to Northants bat Klusener at 8 in 20/20? He was the most effective hitter in world cricket a few years back - surely should be facing as many balls as possible...
Re: English county season 2008 (IV)
To be fair to Nhants pretty much everything went against them.
Lost the toss and had to bat under lights and added to that the drop of rain mid innings made the ball ping all over the shop.
Could easily have been Essex being trashed all over the place...
