Remarkable 2nd half effort. We looked gone at 19-17 down but then lifted amazingly and just belted the Blecks for the next 30 minutes.
Worth sitting up for, tails!!

I had my doubts JKL, but we just might have. Gutsy defensive effort, then the young backs did a great job. Burgess, Giteau and Barnes were outstanding.JKLever wrote:So, judging by the last 2 games have you guys got a pack yet?

Aye. I might keep the recording permanently.
We won't be getting any sense out of JGK after that game, even if he does get home tonight. Lucky bastard being there for it.

Re: Tri Nations Rugby
The ELVs look a big success. That was the most entertaining game of Rugby I've seen in a long time.
And compare it to the snooze-fests being served by Leeeeg at the moment, the NRL must be sh!tting themselves.

Re: Tri Nations Rugby
Yee ha!!!!
What a match. Ignoring the major hassle of getting to that shithole of a stadium in less than 3 hours, what a cracker of a night.
This was easily the most entertaining game I have seen for years - 2 talented sides trying to score tries. If ever an example of how good the ELVs are is needed for the old farkers in the NH, they should be made to watch every second of this match. At least 3 times the sides elected to take scrums from a free kick - so much for all that bullshit about Aust being scared of forward play.
And I really cannot recall a match were the two outstanding players on the field were the fly halfs. Giteau and Carter were both magnificent and the quality of the rugby overall reflected that.

Hehehe, congrats on seeing it live and up close, man. It was awesome to watch on 7, so I guess in a full stadium it would have been mind-blowing.

Lol, THE talking point of the game conveniently swept under the carpet, nice one skulls. The All Blacks had the momentum at the time and could have kicked on from that 'try', unfortunately the Saffie referee who was just 10-15 yards away and had a clear view of the incident bottled it big time.
For a game of ra-ra kick ball it was quite an entertaining game, Dan Carter was exceptional at times and some of the tackling from both sides was so good it was almost leeeeeeg standard. I've no idea who was responsible for the broadcast but I quite enjoyed listening to the exuberant Aussie commentary team as well.

It wasn't a penalty try because Tuquiri had the ball covered. Could have been a penalty though.
In any case, we are rooted for the return leg this Saturday - Elsom out for us, McCaw in for the ABs.

Don't you get it JK? We've just beaten the world champions & the ABs in consecutive weeks. I don't GAF what anyone thinks of the pack.

Penalty Try would have been the worst call of the night. Tuquiri did have it covered. Not awarding a penalty was the worst call of the night. (that's if you put aside the Ellis/Cowan/Ellis/Cowan) thing.)
