The Indians should handle Lee ...unless Cooley really is a miracle worker
...bung is an appalling bowler in tests

India just lost an ODI series to England. I wouldn't be that confident.

please don't yell wrote:Makes no sense anyway, it's clark's mcgrath style line and lenth that may hurt the indians.
Look how fact lee is and the indians love smashing his bowling.
Hogg sounds like he hasn't seen any indian cricket since the 99 tour so i wouldn't take it to heart if i was an indian.
Sounds like he hsn't seen much Aussie cricket either of late....pace of Clark FFS!......he's a fine bowler though, but as has been said it's his McGrathesque control with a touch of movement that does for batsmen, not pace.

They talk about the "Extra pace" of the Aussie attack, but Sreesanth and RP Singh bowled just as quick as Lee and Johnson the other night.
Oh wait, it's another case of beer gutted ex Aussie players who have combined too much VB with too much sun. Not even worth the paper their quotes are printed on.

SG it appears from your comments as if you are not happy with the turnaround in Indian Cricket !!SG wrote:I hope you understand that there is a helluva difference between ODIs and Twenty20.In fact based on what I saw in the last match it was the Aussie team which wilted under pressure and looked tired and jaded.
In Twenty20, contest gets over in less than half the time it stretches to in ODIs, where Aussies are undisputed champs.
Hence I think its horribly wrong to assume that Aussies will wilt in 50-overs format as well. Its as wrong to lay all blame on India's seniors' doors for India's continuing defeats at the hands of Aussies in ODI arena.

You must admit though, Cosier's right about the fielding. The only good thing you can say about Indias fielding is that it's better than Pakistans.

If they drop Ganguly and bring in some of the younger guys then the fielding should be fine. They were probably the best fielding side in the 20-20.

Does it?SG it appears from your comments as if you are not happy with the turnaround in Indian Cricket !!
I don't think so.
Only thing I want to caution against is not to get overoptimistic just because we've won Twenty20 WC. Whether you accept it or not, all 3 forms of the game are so vastly different from each other.
To assume success in one form will get translated into another form as well, is bordering on being, well.........
And its not that we're going to face any other ODI team in the coming series. You might've forgotton but its Aussies, who without a doubt will be coming hard at India in this series, Twenty20 SF loss or not.

Not sure where exactly have said that we will start winning everything. All I have said it that we are seeing a lot of positive changes and hence am am feeling optimistic about the future that is all. The sort of changes of BCCI having competitiion, emphasis on youth, fielding, team first attitude, reduction of dependence on invidiaual players, spreading of the game to outside the metros etc. These kind of changes will stand Indian Cricket in good stead over the long run.SG wrote:Does it?SG it appears from your comments as if you are not happy with the turnaround in Indian Cricket !!
