What order should Aus bat their tail?
Johnno's batting miles better than 10, Gump is almost the perfect 11 (ask either Kat or Clarke), Lee's batting is horrible ATM but we know he's capable of better, and he has seniority, Crazy has a FC average of 25 so he's not an obvious 'Jack' when he comes back in either.
Ponts can't send them all in at once at the fall of Haddin's wicket. And it's surely more than just order of merit anyway. Our tail works well (TF with the current nonexistent lower middle order) but could it be re-cast to go even better? (eg Watson at 10, anybody?)

I think GUmp works well at 11, The rest is really a bit of a lottery. Maybe they should all be padded up and the first one to the door or the change rom gets to bat first.
At least they look like they want to stay around for a while in the middle.

I reckon Midge should bat ahead of Lee these days . . . he looks quite composed at the wicket and it will probably get him to put his head down and score more runs . . .

The way Lee got himself out today was pretty average.

All 3 bowlers gave it away today . . . how well did Gump hit that drive that Vettori caught, FFS!

Was Mickelase commentating when Lee got out? I'd expect him to have been almost orgasmic about balls going between Lee's legs.

Nice reminder for when the highlights are on - hit 'MUTE' as soon as Haddin is dismissed.
No Larse at all is still far too much.

Sage.
He is the type to improve with the promotion and has the nouse to bat with a top order batsmen for longer than Lee.

Re: What order should Aus bat their tail?
He played some glorious drives yesterday, before opening up and swinging wildly.
If he ever gets a game with WA it would be good to see him sent in at 7 or 8 so that he learns how to build an innings. There's some real ability there.

Another Davidson in the making?
I think he could make an allrounder because of his defence and general technique.
One tends to get out at the 20 +/- stage the further down the order they bat.

To be mentioned even on the same page as Davidon, Johnson will need to master swing, especially in-swing to the right hander.
