Re: AFL 2024
Vale horrie. Would seem appropriate for the Bloods to sign off 2024 with a win for him.

Re: AFL 2024
I’m leaning towards Brisbane. Ruck contest may tilt the game back to Sydney though. Very hard to pick.

Re: AFL 2024
I've been on Sydney all year & see no reason to change - although I'd love to see Fagan win a flag and shut up the 'but he never played!' shower

Re: AFL 2024
Fagan is a Tasmanian … born in Queenstown, brought up hard. Would have played on the gravel oval there. Played something like 200 games in the TFL and NWFU from memory. Gutsy player.

Re: AFL 2024
Warwick Armstrong played in the back pocket for South Melbourne the last time these teams met in a GF

Re: AFL 2024
The previous two GF losers also played off in 1966, 1976, 1985, 1987 and 1995. '85 was also played between the the previous GF winners, along with 1969, 1982, 1987, 2011 and 2014.
Richmond were the losers in both today's teams' last flags as Melbourne-based clubs. (Ironically, since then they have a 100% record in GFs against all comers bar Carlton).
Either Collingwood or Hawthorn, but never both, played in every GF but one in the 17 years between 1975 and 1991.
