Taips is to doom and gloom for the Saffers as JKL is to the Poms as doremi is to the injuns!
5 fer 8 ... FFS ... Aus bowling peaks in the very first test match!!
Nah, didn't predict the collapse. Merely said the Aussies won the first day as they had the runs on the board.

Great exhibition of left arm pace bowling from Johnson. Has turned this test completely on its head especially after partnerships between Amla & Smith and then Kallis & AB threatening to bat Aus out of this test.
Aus have to be firm favorites for this test if they can take 100-run or thereabout lead.

Cheers skully.
Which makes MJ's effort all the more praiseworthy, SA though would be gutted by their effort of last hour of the day.

Absolutely gutted they'll be. They were in a strong position when Kallis and AB were looking very comfortable and were marching on. I wouldn't say that the deliveries which claimed their wicket was anything special. In fact Kallis just got a feather touch. And Duminy was probably unlucky to be given out though the delivery was really good. The next tailenders were simply foxed out by Johnson who bowled with a lot of heart and intelligence!

Rehearsal for commentary duties on 9?
But he forgot "chalk up".
Though what SG says is of course true enough as a summary.

No, as long as those concerned took it for what is was. I was in no way saying they were right. I just want all the unpleasantness put to one side, but it's already obvious that they can't do that.

This is true.
But I would distinguish between wounded pride, banana impressions and spite.
I quite like the banana impressions.

Nope, Peter, skulls. Not reading upside down or drunk (pity).
I made up my mind a long ago to say that regardless of the situation and here, regrettably, we are.
I will keep at it, as I'm sure you want to know.

^^ Well, Australia would have been $hit had it not been for that young Johnny come lately Johnson who would insist on thrusting himself into the company of his betters.
I do hate an upstart, don't you m'dear.
