India are so lucky - looks like the rain will save them from certain humiliation.

If it's Kent-like conditions, perhaps Amjad Khan will destroy the Indians with his trundling crapsicles.

Seriously though the weather might give the English attack an added edge. Only difference these days is that India can more than match in that department.Basil wrote:India are so lucky - looks like the rain will save them from certain humiliation.

If the forecasters are right, we'll be lucky if there are two days clear cricket. Sort of ironic really. But you're right, overcast humid conditions will suit our bowlers. It could be that this test turns out to be a glorified net session!

madras was chosen by the ecb. they pretty much insisted on it. personally i think madras and bangalore should be banned. one always has rain, the other results in india losing

I just had a good look at the pitch .. really good pitch which should be acceptable to all cricket boards and contracted cricketers.

probably they consulted BBC to check which centres were more likely to be rained out next fortnight.

I doubt they had a choice this time. And considering how flaaaaaaaat Chennai has been recently, rain probably wouldn't have changed the result.
