307/7 the final score.
308 to win.

India favourites from here I think. It is small ground with a lightning outfield.

Peach of a delivery to rip him up by Johnson. He impresses me more each time I see him.

If they get back on (the rain looks torrential ATM) Â the outfield will not be lightening any more.JGK wrote:India favourites from here I think. It is small ground with a lightning outfield.

This is the series that will put pressure on SRT, Dravid and Gangs, especially Gangs. Post the 2020, all three have to contribute and win against Australia in ODIs. Otherwise I can foresee more people asking for a younger team for the ODIs, and they will have some justification for that point of view.

We did that already last year. Wasn't too successful.
Anyways, rain has stopped apparently.

are the three of them playing the aussies on their own for a win?
i think the selectors are a bit smarter than the average indian fan. break down dhoni's under-construction house after one world cup, give him the reception of the decade for another

Don't misconstrue my statement into something which I have neither said nor implied.
If they cannot lead - by virtue of their performances- India to a victory in this series, it will be fair to reassess their roles and position in the side. I will be very happy if they click. But if they don't, the questions will be asked.
Who the feck said anything about houses being broken down anyway?

what if they do well batting but india lose?
my second statement was more about the lack of perspective usually seen in india

Business as usual then, and I will be a happy man knowing that the cricket links to my yoot are still around.
I don't see all of them succeeding though, unfortunately. Unlikely statistically. Gangs may be most vulnerable in ODIs.

the 3 of them should save the selectors having to make that call and just step down from ODIs - it is probably the right time.
game called off btw.

Yeah that and don't play five bowlers for the rest of the tour atleast, or even better, ever.

That's it . . .that was the only game Australia had a chance of winning. We'll lose 6-0 now. India too strong.

Harbhajan needs to play in the next game. Powar was poor, but Dhoni did bring him into the attack too late and bowling him at the end was just wrong. Pathan still had two more overs.

Don't recall seeing Powar before. Has he always been so 'stocky'?
