Do you prefer Christmas in summer or winter?

A summer Christmas can be spent having a barbecue and lounging in the pool - though a white Christmas with all the traditional cold climate thingies certainly sounds good...

I usually associate Christmas with SNOW

I do it with Santa.

Winter. Tried it in both and summer was just wrong.

Remember where the first Christmas was held. Pretty warm there.

Had hot last year, snow this year, have to say enjoying both equally in terms of temperature and sea/sand vs snow, but the company is the most important thing. Can mess up or improve the best or worst time.

Thought I was going to experience my first warm Christmas two years ago - and walked into Melbourne's coldest Christmas day on record.

Could have had a snowball fight if we'd driven about 20 minutes or so further up out of town from Bacchus Marsh into the mountains where there was several inches of snow in the same place they had been fighting bush fires in 40C+ temperatures the previous week!

Closest I've been to a white Christmas for over 20 years . . . in the middle of a bleeding Australian summer!

I've done both hot and cold Christmases. On balance, I prefer the hot. It's so much easier to get the kids outside, and until late in the evening, when necessary. Besides, freaking hard to cook Turkey on a barbecue in the snow.

Now excuse me, it's lunch at the G, so time for some prawns...
