That's what all the girls say. Especially when talking about blokes with a questionable constitution and a ropey technique against new ball pace opening the batting in Tests.

To hell with it. Stickk Bellhop up there watch him feather it in the 5th over for 7 runs. And were effectively 27 - 1 from 6 or so.... Marvellous use of the powerplays.

Bonus however is that at least he may get dropped quicker!Very Happy:D

Bell should also open in Tests.

Strauss to come in at 6.

You know it makes sense.

Have you caught the English selectors disease? A bit of Graveneyitis? I hope there's a cream for it.

The England selectors always used to insist that if a player has proved woefully out of his depth in his specialist batting position then he should be given another chance to fail - this time somewhere where he has never played before.

This way you end up with Mark Ramprakash opening and Nick Knight at number six (in the same team!). Infact Ramprakash was opening and the middle order consisted of 3 specialist openers...

Poor Ian Bell. There was a time when a 25 year old English batsman averaging 40+ would have meant Knighthood.

Certainly JKL. The fact I don't think it would be a good idea should be hidden. He's been coasting without impact for two years now. I should probably quote his overall figures, ignoring his selfish S/R in ODIs and post his overall Test stats, ignoring his totally skewed averages.

Back in the days of good bowling and more even records? Yeah.
