Re: Sons of Cricketers
Graeme Pollock's sons, Andrew and Anthony, both played some first class matches, as did Graeme and Peter's father, Andrew. This - a brilliant player whose father/son/brother is reasonably good - is more usual than having more than one brilliant player in a family. (Although the Pollocks had both.) I don't know whether having a famous father is a help or a hindrance - probably a bit of both...

It reminds me of the 12th man's send up of Hansie Cronje in the commentary box.
There were more gambling references in five minutes than you'd find in a day at Royal Ascot.
It's not verbatim but:
Mark Taylor: If he doesn't score some runs soon he'll have to book his ticket home.
Hansie Cronje: Bookie's ticket... that reminds me (sound of phone dialling)... Hello, John!

Tom Maynard is getting there.
On a female note, interesting to see Ian Healy's niece in the Aus squad for the WC. She's a 'keeper an' all.
