Still not entirely sure what Pietersen's overall plan of action was other than to get rid of the coaches.
He seemed perfectly happy with the same old players at his disposal - even wanted Vaughan back: a totally unjustifiable selection.
We'll never know.

Anyway, have we lost yet?
To be honest, I'm having a lot more fun here than I should be! The perverse sense of justice is over-taking the feeling of pure horror. Yes, England, you're shit. We've been saying it for years. Dare you realise now at your lowest ebb? Because if you ****** DON'T, you're not the idiots I took you for. You're just knobs.
Pietersen must be privately smiling a little - he was very, very right in some respects.
You have a WI flag as your emblem and yet you say have we lost yet?
Don't be a dim-wit, for God's sake. I don't spend my time bemoaning English cricket on here because I'm privately a Windies fan. I am chuffed for the Windies though - great historical cricket nation who have been starved of quality for too long. Hopefully this is the start of good things (except for the rest of this series!).

Anyone that's ever seen England play.

kp and flintoff will be happy this happened a day after the ipl auction. JT will be wishing the auction was tomorrow instead

Even as an England fan I'm finding this f*cking funny. I'm struggling to think of a worse England performance this decade.

Well played, Windies. Batted better, bowled better.
Can't argue with that.
I'm hungry - going to get something to eat.

At least this should force England to dump some of the passengers such as Dingdong, Harami and Pointlessarse now.....

Yes, amidst the usual hilarity of a shite England performance it has to be said, well done to the WINDIES. Would much rather it had been another team but it's good to see them perform like this. Wouldn't begrudge them a series win if they clinch it.

Re: West Indies v England, 1st Test, Kingston, Feb 4-8
Wow. I can't believe we managed an innings victory. Especially since we handicapped ourselves with Marshall and Powell. I definitely think Ryan Hinds is going to come in for Marshall. Undoubtedly Powell will continue to play but hopefully Taylor will continue to pick up the slack for him.
