True and Union could take a closer look at some of that.tac wrote:Josh Carney wrote:Isn't that for the weekend before I am talking about the weekend after.Invader Zim wrote:No they don't. Once picked for Origin, they are not picked for their club.
But Leeeeeg players can be subbed on and off, and they might only play 30 or 40 minutes of the weekend game.

No way, the sub-rule is one of the most piss-weak parts of Leeeeeg. If you come off, you should stay off.

The Twenty20 Championship vs the RWC would be a fairer comparison.

TBD haven't got enough players to field 3 teams. They'll struggle.Nath wrote:Invader Zim wrote:
Wow, I wonder who'll win?
"Papa New Guinea" might be in with a shot. It's either them or "TBD", since they are allowed to field 3 teams.

Fairer because the topic of the thread is which of the two was 'interesting', and if the CWC 2007 was even remotely within remote distance of anything that could be called interesting in semantic space, I'll have any of you fark me running.

All the deaths and stuff were an interesting sub-plot. Wish we'd seen more of that, to be honest. Like one super long episode of Columbo. Or Quincy.
Or Columbo AND Quincy teaming up - what a spectacle that would've been.
And Mr T turning up as a special guest star, playing Tino Best.
The cricket World Cup could've been brilliant...

The cricket world cup was a disaster from start to finish. Worst of all the ICC missed the opportunity to revitalise the game in the WIndies. A huge disappointment.
The Rugby world cup has at least provided some interesting developments. Not least the form of Argentina.

You know you'd need Perry Mason to "sew the sh!t" up...
Re: Which was more interesting - the Cricket or Rugby WC?
From his wheelchair.
No, wait, that was Ironside. Bit insensitive to call him that, in hindsight.
I knew a guy in a wheelchair who introduced himself as Wheels - although his 'friends' called him Broke-E-Back.

Funnily enough, Broke-E-Back was gay - as if he didn't have enough of a stigma to deal with...
Re: Which was more interesting - the Cricket or Rugby WC?
So did Heath play him in the movie, or was it Jake Gillenhall?

There's always rumours about actors being 'light on their feet'. You're not a proper star until some trashy gossip column or other has hinted that you're hiding a dark secret from your fans.
Almost exclusively unsubstantiated rubbish.

True.
By the way, just saw this: http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,22578724-5001028,00.html
There's hope for some people yet...

Re: Which was more interesting - the Cricket or Rugby WC?
HUMANS will be marrying robots by 2050 and having sex with them not long after, an artificial intelligence researcher has claimed.
Whoa, wait a minute. What about try before you buy? I'm not marrying a robot who won't put out after a couple of dates.
They haven't thought this through. It's the wrong way around. Get the technology for the sexy time in place first.
Stupid science people.
Re: Which was more interesting - the Cricket or Rugby WC?
Of course, what about those robots who'll let you have all the sex you want before the wedding, then stop putting out afterwards.
I suspect my first wife may have actually been one of those.

At least you could shut her down and switch on the cricket without any repercussions after a good blow job.
