Ugh and double ugh. How farkin embarrassing.Invader Zim wrote:Bryce McGain...may his file be stamped
and he made to hand back his Baggygreen.
Forget this quest for a new Warne. And fark off the useless Ranga as well. Stick to 6 bats, a keeper and 4 seamers (with Gump being essential to the make up of the side).
What a total show of stoopidity by the NSP.
Anywho, top knock from Prince. Hardly played a false shot. Shows the Saffie NSP is a farked as ours, in leaving him out for the useless McKenzie. Talk about missing the boat. The Saffie got away to crabby starts in T1 and 2, putting them on the back foot every time.
With Smiffy to come back, the Saffie top 6 has an air of invincibility to it. How much will they will rue this mised oppotunity to nail the no. 1 spot?

And my prediction of a 300 deficit was optimistic. Given the fast scoring (thanks to Ohma FFS), there is no reason why the Saffies can't bat all day and make 700 and give themselves 2 days to bowl us out.
Any rain on the horizon?

At least one of the Vomits stepped up (3 Vomits in the side - Nath, Nath, Nath!! ).
Siddle 23-12-35-1. Outstanding stuff when the other 2 quicks went for 4 an over.

He bowled well but quite a lot of wide stuff when I was watching. With McGain strutting his stuff at the other end, there was no need to bother scoring off him.

There is a standard and oft repeated rule amongst Australian forummers, Pete. "No Vomit should ever be chosen to play for Australia unless they are named Warne."PeterCS wrote:phurt. Nowt wrong with Vix per se. Look at Warney. Look at Bill Lawry.

Warne isn't Victorian. He is a gift from God to all Australians. The fact that God chose Victoria as the piece of dirt on which TGM was to make his earthly entrance is neither here nor there.

Anyway, the most interest left in this game is whether Jackie (who has again performed after the horse has bolted) can get his first double ton.
That would require Saf to get about 600 which is surely on because Aust could be batting again just after tea.

They'll sh!t 700 in. Jackie to make a painful 250, with AB and JP making tons as well.

Kallis played one of the most important innings of the 2 series in Perth when he hammered the Aussie bowlers everywhere late on day 4. Gave South Africa the momentum and set them up for the summer, imo.

Punter was as miffed as I've seen him over the way Kallis got his ton. He took it up with the Rauf again at stumps.
Kaspa thinks we can scrounge a draw from here. Might be optimistic thinking.

Yeah, but making runs off McGain's bowling is like taking Banger or Zimbubbly wickets.taipan wrote:Um, this was Kallis' second quickest ton.skully wrote:They'll sh!t 700 in. Jackie to make a painful 250, with AB and JP making tons as well.

Re: South Africa vs Australia, 3rd Test, Cape Town, 19-23 March
Well, I may not have the +/- voting, but the WitlessCrocInfo log-in curse is back online . . .
"Hilfenhaus to Kallis, OUT, Kallis goes without adding a run today. It was short in length on the middle, straightened and must have stopped on him a bit, Kallis was shaping to short-arm pull it to the on side and ended up checking the shot and edging the ball straight up and Hilfenhaus strolls forward to take a dolly. Kallis stands and has a puzzled look as he peers down the spot where the ball landed."
Wonder if he's been studying Vorn's method . . .

Erm, it was a comment on whether Midge was injured or not. You seem to be misreading me of late, taips.
