Fielding is important and all things being equal pick the best fielder.ie Hogg in lieu of McGill.
Pity D. Hussey has no contract.
Tait won't play this summer unless we get flogged. Tait also missed a couple of sitters in the WC, Gabba.
Were you The Antichrist? He didn't like Tait with a passion.
I don't trust his technique maybe this shoulder operation and work on his technique will bolster my confidence.
As far as I recall, The Antichrist was ambivalent towards Tait. I remember he preferred Midge and Hilfy as options, but thought Tait did well in the WC.
Fair enough must have been someone else.

Wozzies all out for 193. Pombasher hit 18 off 4 balls to reach his ton before Edo was out next ball.

Good, if they knock some of the attitude out of him now, he might be a decent player by the time he's 28 or 29.

Did he linger around at the crease after he was given out? Poor guy. His stomach's back in the dressing room but his arse is still on the pitch. Not much he could have done.

Huzzah for the good guys. And Channel Nein now have it as a foregone conclusion that Froggy will be the new NLDL. Which will probably mean he's been woofed and Podge will get the cap.

if sniffy gets selected it should just about put paid to any chance macdill has of being selected...given neither is capable of holding sitters or reasonable ground fielding

Warriors Go Down Despite Pomersbach Blitz
17/10/2007
The Retravision Warriors have lost their opening Pura Cup match against the NSW SpeedBlitz Blues by 275 runs at the WACA Ground despite a brilliant maiden first class century from Luke Pomersbach.
Pomersbach finished on 102 not out, smashing 14 fours and three sixes in his 110-ball blitz, as the Warriors were dismissed on the final day for 193. Blues paceman Mark Cameron was named Man of the Match after his devastating spell on day two when he took five wickets, swinging the match the visitors' way.
The Warriors faced a mountainous run chase of 469 for victory and were on the back foot after Doug Bollinger sensationally claimed a hat-trick late on day three. Even Pomersbach's heroics couldn't stymie the inevitable, with the Blues claiming the remaining three wickets before lunch on the final day.
Acting Retravision Warriors Captain Adam Voges says there are many positives to take into next week's clash against Victoria.
“I think there's still plenty of pride, the guy sitting next to me (Luke Pomersbach) with his State cap on, he's got a lot of pride. He batted very well in the second innings,” said Voges.
“Pomersbach's hundred was a great positive we can take out of this. I thought the way our bowlers bowled on the first morning, and I thought the way Steve Magoffin played this game, his figures probably didn't show just how well he bowled in this game the amount of times he beat the bat."
Pomersbach was understandably delighted with his first Pura Cup century, listing it amongst his best.“It was a great feeling. Any hundred you get is a great feeling, but getting one for your State is just such an awesome feeling,” said Pomersbach.
The Retravision Warriors' next match is a Ford Ranger Cup clash against Tasmania this Sunday 21 October, starting at 10.15am.
