And all of us remember what had happened when we played the final test vs Pak there two years back!! Why are we not getting to play at Chennai?

But they'll be coming next year. Why not play a test here this year?

If Laxman or Ganguly dont make meaningful contributions in the first 2 tests then Yuvraj will be in......Surely.

Chandan - Rotation policy, and anyways the Kotla and Eden are lucky for us.

Henry - Doubt it.

Ganguly has been the highest and second highest run scorer for India in the last two test series apart from Bangla series. So there is no question of Ganguly getting dropped, unless he is injured.

But I'm desperately hoping for Sehwag against Pakistan next month.

yuvi's chance will probably come after the aus series or in the middle of it. if the series is decided by the 2nd test (in aus' favour) expect him to be drafted in. to start off with they will go with experienced hands barring a pakistani series disaster

i am more worried about dravid than laxman. ganguly seems to be in good-ish form

yeah dravids been struggling in tests since the windies tour pretty much, hes the kind of player when hes out of form, hes really out of form.

still, imo laxman is the weakest link and should make way for yuvraj who will never be more ready than he is right now

VVS did quite well in Eng tests. Surely, he didn't convert any of his starts to big ones, but I won't drop him as yet from test side.

Whatever one may think VVS has to be and will be in Australia. You can't drop player of his calibre (and having such a record against Aussies) from a tour of Australia.

Off all the big names Tendulkar has the worst record and been the least convincing over the last few years ,once you take out the minnows bashing. Tendulkar being the starting test line up is purely based on reputation IMO.

I'm not willing to drop Laxman just now, that too for Yuvraj who hasn't convinced at all in the tests.

PCB wanted to replace 1 of the 3 tests with 2 T20 games. Thank god, the BCCI refused the request. Hope that doesn't provide a snap shot of cricket's future . . .

Could see ODI's getting replaced by T-20 s very soon and regularly.

No way BCCI would replace a test with Twenty20, especially if its against Pak.

BTW, why would PCB want to do this?

I guess they feel a 2 test series is harder to lose . . . ?

I'd absolutely hate it if a team plays more than 1 Twenty20 game on a tour, moreso if it has come at cost of sacrificing a test match.

Well they just lost a 2-test series to SA, and that too at home.

So? They still could have drawn it if they had done a little better on the last day.

As has been done to death in that match thread, no way any present team would've won that test, apart from may be Aussies.
