Bit worrying that KP is going to be playing whilst not properly fit.

I dunno, he should be fine... Pietersen said: "The only thing that is restricted is my running. I've really got to ease back into my running."JKLever wrote:Bit worrying that KP is going to be playing whilst not properly fit.
After all, in t20 cricket you don't have to race around after everything in the field, or take quick singles when batting.

Bearing in mind how easily India brushed aside Pakistan- anyone fancy a punt on Netherlands doing likewise?

Holland will NOT score an upset because the current PAK team has unique bowlers like Afridi, Aamer, Tanvir and Ajmal

Yeah, as if a minnow team could ever upset Pakistan in a major tournament......

hmm..look at the bowling attack that played against IrelandHenry wrote:Yeah, as if a minnow team could ever upset Pakistan in a major tournament......
M Sami
U Gul
Mahmood
Rao
M Hafeez/ Malik
There is nothing different or unique about that bowling attack with the exception of M Sami who did bowl quite quick that day and got a few wickets.

Wasn't it the batting that let Pakistan down against Ireland? There was players like Inzamam, Yousuf, Younis, and Malik. On paper a much better batting lineup than they have now. And they all flopped.

yeah but 132 was still a defendable score on that surface.
....but Ireland played quite well too, i remember their captain took an amazing catch to dismiss Kamran Akmal and then one of the left handers played a very fine innings.

PAK SL final
pakistan will win the T20 WC.
Why ? Because they are most well-rested team out there. And they will play better under pressure.

Afridi's bowling is excellent these days. He's getting more turn now than he used to. I think Pakistan should consider picking him in their test side as the specialist spinner.

I'd partner him with Kaneria to avoid using sh!te part-time bowlers likes Malik and the like.

Ajmal is better than Malik. In fact i'm sure there's quite a few Pakistani spinners who are better than both Malik and Kaneria.

Kaneria once said he would like to play for England in Tests because Pakistan don't get enough each year...
