I like KaneriaDJ_Smerk wrote:Kaneria once said he would like to play for England in Tests because Pakistan don't get enough each year...
Despite his poor form i see him as some one who really wants to play for Pakistan as he tries harder than most BUT that comment was very disappointing. I hope the comment so taken out of context.

Nannes has looked alright so far, he's bound to trouble a few - it's not like most of our 'superstars' are more adept than the County stock. It's just that they play Tests.

No. I doubt I'm part of his immediate thoughts. But I expect he knew I couldn't afford it.

Well an hour and a half till kick off and if this abbey road cam is anything to go by its pishing it down.
Would be hella funny if we got a NR and lost to the Paks and went out on run rate
Rumour is that KP is going to be rested because of his achilles? Bigger problem than people are letting on methinks if thats the case - why play the warm ups?

Looks like they've had a shower, but that it's now drying.
Only light showers forecast, should get a game in.
Interesting on KP.

Hope they ditch the hacker experiment for this game and open with Key - absolutely no point in putting him in the side otherwise.
Rashid is also in for Swann, so makes his international debut.

Got to be concerned about niggles to KP and Swann.

England chief medical officer, Nick Peirce, informs us that "Kevin had
been making excellent progress with the management of his right
Achilles injury and had shown substantial improvement. However today he
has experienced a degree of pain which medical assessments have
suggested may be related to some aggravation from his lower back."

Re: ICC World Twenty20, 2009 - Group B
The ECB site reports that contingency plans have been put in place for the tournament to be moved indoors. Teams will all be bussed to Loughborough, where the twelve wicketkeepers will be arranged in a circle and made to catch knockdowns in turn. Teams are eliminated whenever their keeper drops the ball.
The tournament will be transmitted to big screens at Lord's and The Oval.
Giles Clarke, asked for an opinion, opined: We think the sponsors ... errrrm, the spectators are looking for a bit of a change from boring bowlouts at this stage, which take up too much time, when all is said and done..

Holland win toss and put us in, unsurprisingly...
They'll end up with a 5 over run chase on D/L - get on betfair now!!
I've layed England at 1.06!
