I'm out of net range for the weekend, so no contributions from me.

Feb 18 looks like being the first month ever that doesn't attract 1000+ posts.

With 3 days left in Feeble-uary 18, this now looks guaranteed.

Aside from blaming you, it is interesting to ponder why.

The Pomgolians are barely competitive away from their tailored pitches. The lack of spark and prospects for the Poms and the Pig affair may have influenced Pom participation.

The Bannies are little better. Oz are woeful away from home.

The Yarps since the untimely death of Mynah have long had only one and a half fans here - Nigel and Nigelbee.

I think there is a bit of ennui about. T20 and relentless jamodis have dulled interest.

While I followed the Ashes very closely, I did not enjoy it. Smith and a couple of bowlers aside, the two teams represented the nadir of Test standards. That the Hollow Man made two tons was emblematic in the cheapening of the Ashes.

By and large this place is gentler than it has been. Why then? Is it FaecesBook? Is it the poor quality of international cricket?

Somehow I am sending a heroic Skully effort to get the 1000 up for Februinary. Sorry if an old fashioned top-bottom was planned. Are you planning to unearth Zat to do a TB?

No top-bottom planned, h.

But between you and me, we could knock off the 80 posts required to crack 1000 over the next 2 days.

Prefers tennis but is ok with cricket and AFL. Her fave channel is Sky Finance.

I'd say hi but would have to shout. She is almost deaf. She is losing her marbles. Happily she has just lost her licence, having dramatically failed her test. Saw the testers after and they were rather pale. She is appealing the decision!

I remember when Dello went on a post-athon to get us past 10,000 posts for the month.

My records suggest that was March 2011. We also managed over 10,000 in July and August of that year.

August 2011 was the last time we posted over 10,000 for the month.
