Have you sorted time off work or do you have sufficient excuses at the ready to cover the important matches?

Are you beginning to research the special offers on lager? The supermarket leaflets will be current now.

Don't forget to put the new viewing card in the Sky box soon - has to be done, so don't delay.

My plan.


Loiter outside Sophia Gardens for 5 days, then watch the rest of the series in a pub or online.

My plan is to religously watch and if its all going a bit tits up, have a few cans ready.

I've booked the first and last tests off work. Sorted.

Dem: I bet you'll go crazy if both Test's are rained out.


JK: You might need a few more cans....just in case.

I've actually planned my schedule for the next month around watching the ashes on dodgy internet links, sad git that I am.

Well, not entirely DJ cos my love and I were discussing that earlier and we have a back up plan on what we could do during such times . . .

I don't think horizontal rain dancing will prevent the rain in Cardiff and The Oval....

My plan is the same as previous away Ashes series.

Excitedly wait for the start of each day's coverage (starts at 8.00 pm in Sydney), chew my fingernails to the bone if we are batting, and hope like hell for wickets if we are bowling, scream alternate obscenities and compliments at the TV (depending upon the goings on), watch play through to 12.10 am (Tea) and fall asleep in the armchair before the final session starts.

Wake up and hope like hell the last session went well for Aus.

Repeat 24 more times.

At least you have a plan. Getting exciting now.

Guys and Gals, where does forumming fit into your plan?

Will be forumming like all hell in the lunch break and the next day (post day's play).

Well, we'll have a laptop in bed with us and I'm sure I'll manage a few words when I get untied.

I'm tempted to hide from this place during the first test, especially if it rains.
