In 1987, England hosted Pakistan, and there were three ODIs and five tests. That was all. And it felt right.
The best regulation the ICC could introduce would be a "one for one" rule ie. You are only allowed to play one ODI for every Test you play (with World Cups excepted).
In the case of Twenty20 Internationals, make it "one for two" ie. You are only allowed to play one T20I for every TWO Tests you play (with World Cups excepted).
Then limit the number of tests to six matches at home each season.

No-one ran him over with a bus last time.
And no big hole swallowed him either.
There's still hope.

Hehehe, I was almost gonna say "a bigger hole than Edgbaston?"Zat wrote:Dunno, a huge hole swallowing things up may well improve the surrounds at Edgbaston.

As always, a method to my madness.
Mind you, if they ever decided to give a Test to Milton Keynes, that might be a bigger hole.

I read somewhere that Freddie's surgeon has warned him that he may need artificial knee in another 20 years.
Now thats a scary thought. Amount of pressure his knee has taken over the years is now starting to take its toll on him.
Thats why they say its really really tough to be a fast bowler, let alone an express one like Freddie.

A nuclear test, preferably.

There are worse holes than MK, just because it's a boring place doesn't make it nuke worthy

Do you mind! Bletchley Park, where the mathematical heroes broke Germany's Enigma machine codes during WWII, is in Milton Keynes.

Is Modi paying this guy to say these sorts of degrading and rubbish statements about Test cricket?

True, but Bletchley is an absolute eyesore these days*. Horrible great big blocks made of metal or black glass. Parts of Milton Keynes itself are quite nice though.filosofee wrote:Shoeshine wrote:Zat wrote:As always, a method to my madness.

*Note that by "these days" I mean twenty years ago, when I last passed through.
