Yeah but don't tell everyone else. They'll expect similar treatment.

FFS. If Watson is in the side as opener, I'll cut my throat.

And is Northeast really a name?

Why bother throwing about these new names, we all know it's going to be:

Strauss
Cook
Bell
Pietersen
Collingwood
Prior
Some useless all-rounder picked as "new Flintoff"
Broad
Anderson
Sidebottom/Onions
Panesar

fairly sage ... Swann is the new Flintoff and you might have both Sidebottom AND Onions

I believe I started this thread seething at England's performance on day 1 of the Headingley test last year. Call it my 'Invader Zim Lord's 2005, lunch break day 1' moment.....

Some things change ... but Mudge is always the first to jump on thre bandwagon of a young English hopeful ('he made a gutsy 58 on debut, he'll be in the test team in two years) yet also the first to jump off the team bandwagon when things start to go slightly awry.

An adjective I would have thought. Found about 45 degree below and to the right of North.

If you could combine Marcus North and Ray East.....

actually, you'd still have a fairly sh!t cricketer.

re the thread title ... the game starts a week later than currently indicated, running from 25-29 November.

predictions? So many questions ...

Will Strauss win the toss and put Australia in to bat?

Will the first ball that travels from the bowler's hand to second slip kiss an outside edge on the way this time?

Can England reverse the 2006-7 scoreline?

Will Zat show mercy to ANY English cricketer in Melbourne this time around?
