BLee - no balls.
In this cricinfo article is an analysis of ODI no-balls since the free-hit rule came in. In short, there have been 6254 legitimate deliveries since the rule came in, and only 9 front-foot transgressions.
Five of them were copmmitted by Brett Lee. If every other bowler competing in the SL, Ind, Aus and Eng sides can mange to reduce their number of front-foot no-balls, why can't Lee?
Stoopid retarded Dubber tosser.

Re: BLee - no balls.
Lee is a real worry, and it's not just the no balls.
Look at the way he carried on when kartik got away with one in the last one dayer, he had bowled well until then but he let his anger disrupt his bowling and it cost us the match.
Scary that people are saying he's ready to lead our test attack.

Re: BLee - no balls.
I find it intensely irritating that professional fast bowlers feel the need to get within a micro moot hair of a no ball, every delivery. Not surprisingly, with so little margin for error, regular and often costly overstepping occurs. Mikey Holding did not bowl a single no ball in his whole international career. As an A-grade fast bowler myself for 17 seasons, I never once overstepped off my 11 m run-up (ahem, I'm certainly not comparing myself to Mikey!!).
FFS, why can't Bung just land with 2 inches of his sole behind the popping crease. Oh that's right, as correctly pointed out, he's a stoopid Dubber.

Wasn't at least 2 of those calls wrong?
Lee is the fastest in cricket at the moment,so it probably
happens when he is striving for extra pace.

Couldn't agree more. Likewise all the hoo-hah they go through making sure they start their run-up on the right blade of grass (and still bowl a no-ball every three or four overs).
Didn't Flem once bowl the 50th over in an ODIous in Hobart with the other crowd needing 8 or something to win, and tied the match, and iater he realised he had bowled the whole over off the wrong mark?

Re: BLee - no balls.
BLee was no-ball supremo in today's T20 against India.
The free-hit rule continues to make no difference to him....and boy did it  hurt Oz.
Milf bowled a couple which turned out to be costly, but it was his first game of the tour in mitigation.

I can forgive Hilfy. Lee is a seasoned pro, he should not be bowling that many no-balls.

Re: BLee - no balls.
Lee's a pace whore. Always has been. He won't cut his delivery back by six inches because it will mean he doesn't seem as fast to the batsmen due to the ball arriving a micro-fraction of a second later than it would usually.
And then he'd have to kill himself.
And then he'd have to kill himself.

...and Hilfy still ended up with the equal best economy rate and a wicket.

Re: BLee - no balls.
I still think lee might be entering his last home summer.
We have 3-4 young bowlers pushing for spots which we simply didn't have a a few years back so a bad summer for lee and he could be gone.

I don't think he will last the summer. I expect Hilfy, Johnson and Tait to be pushing for the 2 bowling spots.

Good. For a moment there I thought you were referring to people who might know something about cricket.

It's probably Steve Waugh's fault for hyping Lee up so much in the first place. Calling him a 'Once in a generation' bowler before he had even played a test.

Re: BLee - no balls.
To be fair to Bung, he did burst onto the scene with great success. Up to and including the 2nd Test v Windies in 2000-01 (when he threw his elbow out throwing in from the boundary and then missed the rest of that season) he did live up to SRW's hype. His record to that point was 7 Tests, 42 wickets at 16.07 with 3 michelles, and a strike rate (from memory) in the low 40s.
Having said that, it spooks me that Bung really thinks he can be Australia's spearhead. I think you'll find Gump continues to make the real inroads with Bung making the occasional early strike and grabbing a few tailenders.

Re: BLee - no balls.
Yep up until that injury he was looking like a very special bowler.
Since then he's averaged over 35 with the ball which really is pretty ordinary.
