India v West Indies, ICCCT, Johannesburg, Sep 30
Or a bye, as it's more commonly known.

Errr ... your spurious weather report yesterday claimed it were going to chuck it down at the Wanderers for a N/R !!
Strausser was depending on it ....

If the wind came up it would have.
Strauss should know better after depending on the English weather in the Aus ODI series.

Ishant dropped.
Dhoni finally wins a toss, an inconsequential one though. India are fielding first.

At last Kieron Powell gets a game. He will probably get a first ball duck now since I have been calling for his inclusion from the first match.......
Unfortunately Floyd Reifer is still playing........

Wow. The ball is doing all sorts. 2 jaffas to get the wickets so far, Windies C/D's haven't really batted that badly.
Edit: Devon Smith gets out to an awful waft after making a solid 20 odd. Some things never change.

SF would be an interesting game on this pitch.
Where would the final be played?

If Windies C/D's can somehow get up to 200 they are in with a chance. If Kemar Roach gets it right later under lights things will be very interesting indeed...
Though I must admit that looks very unlikely at the moment with these batting techniques on display.........

Thanks.
So, Pak Vs NZ then on Jo'burg.
Both have a good seam attack. Might just be another low scoring game on this venue.

This could be one of those matches where the usual suspects don't disappoint us.
Edit: Reifer ends his glittering international career with a beautiful off balance guide to 2nd slip. Thanks Floyd, it's been a real adventure..........Meanwhile the real West Indies captain scored 150 from 78 balls in the Jamaica trial match.

WI's full strength team would've surely tested the eventual SFinalists from this group, especially considering WI were in strong state in both of these games for pretty good duration of the games.
